Meh, I don't care.
It's just fun. Nobodys harmed by it.

If I got struck by lightning while arguing that God doesn't exist, I'm sure there would be thousands of Christians pointing to the news report saying "Told you so" or making fun of my atheist stance being proved wrong. In fact, if I get killed in such a humourously ironic way, y'all have my permission to laugh at me. Hell, I just read the Darwin Awards book and there's lots of people in there who died in stupid ways and I had a good laugh at probably most of them. You're just pissed off about this example because we're making fun of your God as well, and for that I can't say I'm particularly sorry. Either your God is powerless and ineffective, or he's a sadistic bastard. Take your pick.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Fanatic, n. A person motivated by irrational enthusiasm (as for a cause)The Last Autobot wrote:according to your dictionary not quite so.
Believer --> faith --> A strong belief in a supernatural power --> "irrational" being a more polite form of "deranged".
Only if they asked "what do you think of our faith?" -- I don't actually go looking for recently bereaved people to offend.Shockwav wrote:Would you make light of it in front of them?
When people murmur platitudes when people I know have died -- "better place" ones -- the reply varies between "Mmm, assuming there's any shred of truth to that", "What? The ground?" and "Yes, circle of life -- or would be if people didn't insist on building coffins that bio-degrade so poorly." Depends on how old/close the friend or relative is, really. I generally spend funerals making eye contact with the vicar, or singing if I like the hymn (i.e. if it's Jerusalem.)

Still not the same. You can believe something is true or consider it true and not defend incesantly or be extremist in its regard (and not being violent in doing so either). A fanatic can be deranged as you put it, a believer, not necesarrilly .Denyer wrote:Fanatic, n. Then this site should be tranfans or transbelievers I wonder?
Ps: Yaya is Shockwav in disguise?

Disguise?
Same word root, although "fan" hasn't connected with "fanatic" for an exceedingly long time. The Last Autobot wrote:Then this site should be tranfans or transbelievers I wonder?
Certainly. I'm referring only to religious belief, not belief in the likelihood of people doing things or believing whether people are telling the truth or not -- I wouldn't consider the latter two mental illness as they're based on body language, empiricism, etc.The Last Autobot wrote:Still not the same.
