Marvels' house of M (Big spoilers).

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Aside from the ones protected by Doctor Strange, why aren't ALL mutants gone?

It doesn't appear to say. Additionally, the only mention Strange makes of his powers being of use is that the only people who remember HoM are the ones he and Emma managed to protect with spellcasting and psi-shields specifically.
Which is a bit irksome as it doesn't make clear that it was thanks to his last-minute mojo that not all mutants are gone.

Unless I missed something.

I think I'll be cherry-picking the DeciMation titles for the ones that primarily deal with mutants no more rather than the ones that remain superheroes...

And yeah, SPOILERS again.

Uncanny X-Men team supposed to be:
Wolverine
Bishop
Rachel Summers
Psylocke
Cannonball
Nightcrawler
and a Sentinel, apparently.

(sentinels are supposed to be retasked to protect mutants. They are also getting their own comic, Sentinel O.N.E. which looks like it might kick ass.)

Astonishing X-Men team: no change

Academy X cast is supposed to be:
X-23
Dust
Elixir
Hellion
Mercury
Rockslide
Surge

X-Factor supposed to be:
Madrox
Wolfsbane
Siryn
Rictor
Strong Guy
M

New Excalibur supposed to be:
Capt. Britain
Pete Wisdom
Nocturne
Dazzler
Juggernaut

A major character croaks in Deadly Genesis.
Apocalypse is coming back.
We'll find out what happened to Chucky sooner rather than later.
Storm possibly staying in Black Panther.
No info on the cast of adjectiveless except Iceman.
Wolver having a very, very busy year...

Mm, it does sound like quite a boring team, esp under Claremont.

There's some previews up of Generation M, and it appears that Chamber has been shafted.

I'm beginning to think that House of M would have made more sense if they cut out issues 2-6 and got rid of all the spinoffs.

Wanda goes crazy, world goes white, most mutants are depowered when the smoke clears. Less messy.

Yeah. If they had wanted to slim it down, it would have been possible.
The main events of the HoM series could certainly have been done in a 48 page special, with a little pruning.
And if they wanted to flesh that out by spending time world-building, giving each of the major titles involved an oversized issue all published in the same month, that would lead in to the HoM special.

Considering that the ramifications become the 'big event', the main series looks padded and the time spent on some of the beats looks slightly disproportionate:

- Wanda changes world, let's have a look, catch the Wolverine, insert magic girl plot device, hay guyz 'sup, let's go kill Magneto, look out it's the Big Fight Scene, oops, Wanda changes world, OMG -

Bendis is doing 'post-mortem' interviews, worth a read.

He generally gives good interview.
