If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Mmm, dunno, what about that shocking line about it being clear they have to use ligtsabres?
clunk.
The Jedi should have just called in Batman.

Do you mean before the Yoda fight in AoTC? Bad line, good delivery I thought.
Unless there was something in RoTS I've erased from my mind.
Seriously though... Neeson, McDiarmid, McGregor... all made to look like prats at one point or other.

Maybe episodes 1-3 were part of a masterplan by Lucas to sell shitloads of merchandise whilst simultaneously sullying as many careers as possible...

Oh I think Natalie Portman is a good actress, but under Lucas' direction she's a complete plank, as is Ewan McGregor and other good actors (as others have already stated).
I've seen Hayden Christensen in another film called 'Life as a House'. For half the film he acts just like Anakin, a spoiled moody *****. But in the second half his character mellows and he is in fact a likeable actor, a good one.
Also, in the extras he makes a comment as to how his lines in this film are much more personable and not ham-fisted and stunted cliche as per AOTC. He doesn't actually say "ham fisted" etc, but he readily implies it, because he'd only just finished making AOTC at the time.

Apparently he's a legend in 'Shattered Glass'. Haven't seen it yet tho.

I read an interview with HC where he said that GL had changed some of his lines, and digitised the lip-synch, so HC was saying something else, but didn't seem concerned that HC might have acted the scene differently if he was speaking different words. If that makes sense.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Makes sense, yeah.
The whole point of ADR is to replace lines that you can't hear properly. Not to change the dialogue after the event.

"You were the chosen one!"
Maybe he was saying "Do you need ice for that?" but Ewan convinced GL that "You were the chosen one" was more appropiate.
Can't believe I'm still here.

I was too busy. And George Lucas wanted exclusive merchandising rights. And for me to use a lightsaber.
I'm Batman. I don't need a lightsaber. I killed a man by raising my eyebrow once. Whilst breathing in space.
I'm Batman.

Wow, a great honor to have the legendary Dark Knight post on this board. Never knew he is a Transfan!
My two cents about the debate?
LOTR is more enjoyable, especially since it doesn't have a 'PHantom Menace" part. Yes, that one ruined SW for me. I still like t watch the rest and imagine PM didn't happen.
That said, LOTR isn't perfect either. Too much was changed from the book, especially the whole bloody Arwen-Aragorn stuff which feels rather shoehorned sometimes. And Frodo thinking Sam betrayed him...and leaving out Saruman in ROTK... I could go on...
In all aspects, despite the somewhat ridicluous animation, I still think it's the old ROTK cartoon that stays most true to the original. Despite the songs...
And the Hobbit is good too.

I'm not. I'm a close personal friend of the one you call Metal Vendetta.
But now, I must leave. Evil's still afoot, and I'm almost out of that nancyboy hairgel that I like so much.
Quickly - to the Batmobile! Away!
I'm Batman.

A question for Batman:
Do your dancing skills from Newsies and Swing Kids ever come in handy when you're trashin' the evildoers?
