They do. It's just all they do is pass to Henry and wait for him to score. It brings us a league and F.A cup now and again.Best First wrote:you mean Henry has been out?Jetfire wrote:Can I blame injury crisis?
i didn't realise anyone else played for you.
But apparently Pires and Ljungberg can still get on the leagues top 5 scorers last season
I face palmed, but edventually I had to laugh (Once I erased the million text messages that were taking the piss). I'd probably wouldn't have been able to laugh if we hadn't won the game though.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:that Pires plays for them I saw him doing somthing with a Penlty yesterday...
No offence but I did laugh so hard a bit of wee came out yesterday when i saw that

Lets see:
Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd are crap. Spurs, Wigan and Charlton are fighting for champions league places. Somebody altered reality somehow
Transformers: Arsenal fans in disgise
Liverpool are just plain crap at the moment. Mainly because our strikers are slow & inept, but also because we always seem to look to Gerrard for inspiration, even when he is injured!! Rafa needs to learn that tactics that work in Europe do not always translate well to the league.
Champions League aside, we are really not that much better than when Houllier is in charge, although I feel Rafa can turn it around.
It's nice to see teams like Wigan and Charlton doing well. I will always have a soft spot for Danny Murphy, who is playing out of his skin at the Valley. Liverpool could do with a player with his vision and sublime assists.

love it.FERGIE GIVES UP "We're not worried, why should we be? Having money is
not necessarily a route to automatic success." So hissed Slippery
Peter Kenyon, then chief blazer at the MU Glazer Sox, when he heard
that some billionaire oilmonger had taken charge of Chelsea. And he
certainly knew what he was talking about - after all, he'd just blown
GBP28.1m on Juan Sebastian Veron, and was astute enough to splurge
GBP30m on Rio Ferdinand five months before Leeds' deteriorating
financial health enabled even Newcastle United Comedy Club to pick up
the infinitely superior (even when knacked) Jonathan Woodgate for two
pies and a track suit.
These exorbitant buys meant that when a genuinely outstanding player
became available, the Glazer Sox dawdled over forking out for him. So
Ronaldinho joined Barcelona and Fergie finished last season
trophyless. Kenyon, of course, is now at Stamford Bridge but that's
done nothing to reassure Lord Taggart that Chelsea will waste their
wealth. In fact, the purple-hued Scot has finally admitted that Roman
Abramovich is so darn rich no one can compete with the Blues.
"If Chelsea go for a player we're interested in, we're not going to
beat them so there's no point even going for him," he sobbed today.
An abject concession it may be, but the gruff Scot has not abandoned
all his legendary stubborness and attempted, even if just for the
sake of posterity, one last mind game quixotically aimed at all of
humanity's footballing youth: "Any young player wanting to progress
his career should think seriously about joining us because, as our
record proves, we do give them a chance," blurted the manager who
could have signed an 18-year-old Michael Essien for free five years
ago ... but scared him away by vowing to farm him out to Belgium.

it means you have paid massively over the odds for players. And failed to get some genius ones as a result.
and its written ina witty fashion.

So we payed over the odds for veron who we then sold to Chelski for 18 mill?
so we lost 10 mill. that must be like a first in premm history, club spends 10 mill on a player that doesnt work in the premm.
wow.
oh its not is it, because clearly Chelski bough him for 18 - and then sold him!
ill let you work out why that article isnt very clever then

Grow a sense of humour.
Impy - the point of the article was thus:
- Man Utd got stung on Veron, and as such don't like paying too much money on high rep players because they might flop.
- Chelsea are rolling in it, and as such have no such issues
As such, Ferguson thinks that he can't compete with Chelsea in the target market.
Using the example of Chelsea buying Veron and then flogging him again... well, it just reinforces the points made.
Both Man Utd and Chelsea forked over far too much for Veron and took a loss on him. The difference is that it scared Utd off paying too much for players, whereas it didn't dent Chelsea's momentum at all.

There's a difference between:Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:which Fergie said and amited to in that very article - so it proves what, that fergie is right. i see?
- "person says something that is factually accurate"
and
- "person eventually concedes a point that has been plain to see but which he has stubbornly refuted prior to now"

When did he refute that United couldnt match Chelskis pending budget?
How is it wrong for United to buy a player that wasnt that good but its not wrong for Chelski to then buy the player? consider the fact Chelski had 2 years to watch how well Veron could perform in the premm.
Every club in history has signed crap players at some point, United have been in postion to sign good players and have, Rooney recently.
Also, Ronaldo is considered one of the best talents on the planet, Chelski didnt buy him because they didnt scout him out, united still paid 12 million for his then very young talent.
I fail to see the joke when the facts dont match up.
