If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Sounds familiar.
Still looking forward to it quite a bit now, after placing the order and forgetting...

DAMN! YOU! I was just about to wiggle in that scoop myself! Seems as if Raiz art has evolved quite a bit.
The Amazing Fantasy issue itself sounds rather interesting too. Quite a lot of back-ups in that one.

Not really. It looked that way before, when nobody was telling him: "Draw it like manga!"

Cheers for the Link KM.
If you look at the picture that shows a close up of DHIII's face / one eye, I get the impression of the original DH. The bridge of the nose, the round eye.....just seemed to have a similar feel. Maybe there has been some attempt to capture the look of the original DH?
And well done for fining some Rocket Raccon KM. I'm always on the lookout, but never find!

I got issues #2 and #3. I swear I had #4 in my hand, but must have put it back accidentally when I returned all the Star Brands I suddenly realised I didn't want.
Wasn't there when I went looking again the next day.
Only 50p each!
Yeah, the close-up on DH's face looks good. I just miss the face-horns.

i managed to get my hands on the future Machine Man mini series a while back, that was so much better than the normal Machine Man (and has IronMan 2020 getting the stuffing kicked out of him yet again! heheh).
Might have a look around for the Rocket Racoon stuff too, that was just so odd that it was cool!

Guys, check out your Wildfur newsletters for some intriguing DHIII info that goes against some of the previous stuff.
REVISTINGŠ DEATH¹S HEAD
Or, more literally, recreating Death¹s Head. For anyone who¹s been living
under a rock for the past few months, Death¹s Head is back, in the pages of
Marvel¹s Amazing Fantasy. The five-part ŒUnnatural Selection storyline runs
in issues #16-20 of that title, and features the return of A.I.M. (Advanced
Idea Mechanics) and the recreation of Death¹s Head. Sadly, it¹s not
everyone¹s favourite bounty-hunter (yes?) from the original comics and the
UK Transformers continuity, or even the upgraded Minion version from Death¹s
Head II (despite the A.I.M. connection), but a whole new character with a
whole new set of (lethal) quirks. However, we¹re not ruling out the odd
Death¹s Head lineage link or two, and it might be worth looking at this as
less of a sequel and more of a prequel! Nuff said! The new Death¹s Head also
ties into major events happening the larger Marvel Universe right now. The
series kicks off this month, don¹t miss it.
Plus, other things to make you go squee are in it as well.
I still need to get that Machine Man 2020 mini. Got the Amazing Spidey annual with Iron Man 2020 in last weekend tho. Job's a good'un.

So it more like DH 0.0 rather than DH 3.0. Maybe?
Well that was unexpected, but not necessarily a bad thing! Cheers Mob!

Interesting I suppose, well, let's see where it goes.
Too bad it's not one of the previous lads rebuilt tho..

DH 0.0?
I'll see how it pans out.
Doing a continuation was always going to be tricky I guess.

Doing a prequel should be tricky, too. Wasn't the origin of the original DH pretty conclusively mapped out in 'Body in Question'? Whaere do you go from there without retconing??

Yeah, I thought that just as I typed it.
But, um, perhaps Furman just found it easier.
I now expect any link to DH I and II to be a thin one to be honest.

I think you're right. But that doesn't rule out the possibility that it will still be quality

Probably something along the lines of an AIM scientist discovers Necker's notes and decides to carry on the work, basing the development on the 'greatest success'. Naturally, the prototype will run amok, gain its own sense of purpose and go off by itself.
Or maybe, being a cyborg project, the donor's personality regains control, and runs amok, swearing vengeance against AIM.
Which is Deathlok, isn't it? Apart from AIM being the catalyst.

I'm hoping for some cameos as the thing realises it isn't the first and trawls through the database in search of answers.
