top gear tonight. clarkson was showing of his new ford gt40 he had waited years for,

very expensive super car with a huge engine - he like the idea of pay as you drive as it made it cheaper to run his car... how daft

so pay as you drive is good for rich ppl with petrol guzzling cars and crap for poor ppl with eco friendly cars... err

And also completely defeats the object of having large heavy roads for heavy traffic and small roads for light traffic. Great stuff.

So we're all agreed this is a REALLY DUMB idea?
That means that it's BOUND to get implemented.
And it means that those selfsame politicians with their big fuel-hungry cars will be okay - not that they ever had to pay under the existing scheme anyway.
Y'know, I'm afraid.
