Indy & Rambo(!) return

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I know a girl who thinks Commando is one of the best movies ever made.
Commando is also ace for Arnie one-liners drinking games.
Almost as good for that as the Running Man.

Cindy : What happened to Sully?
Matrix : I let him go.
:D

Agree with above, could watch another Indy, not fussed in the slightest about another Rambo, despite generally quite liking Sly. He also said this:

Hrhmmm.

Out of Arnie's films, I would say that the first two Terminators, True Lies, Total Recall, Predator and the Conans are essential viewing. Kindergarten Cop and Twins are okay. The rest are kind of forgettable.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Er people in glass houses Master Stalone! You're hardly Alec Guiness, darling. Bloom might be a pretty average actor imo but he's just as capable as Stalone is. That seems to be the equivalent of the beach-bum kicking sand in the smaller guys face just cos he's got bigger muscles.

Thing is, Stallone is a good actor (he's bloody brilliant in Copland). But he wasted the 80s trying to out-do Arnie, instead of getting on with it.

It's brilliant.
They have no idea where the hostages are (they never sit down and say "okey, the hostages are in house B"*), yet the blow up every single building :D

* Yes, I know there are no hostages since they were tricked.

Anyways, I do think Stallone can act. I'm more worried about his speech. You can barely understand what he says sometimes.
Can't believe I'm still here.

Yeah, Die Hard pretty much put an end to muscle/macho type action films.

Re: Stallone's speech... thats only really in Rocky.

So... did anyone else watch Collateral Damage? That's the one that never came out because of 9/11.

Stupidest feckin' movie I've ever seen...

I think they've been talking another Indie for a long time.

Collateral Damage must be the only Arnie movie I've never watched.
I own it on some Hong Kong DVD though.
