Now that story about him and the prostitutes that I never heard the end of begins to make more sense...Jetfire wrote:Er yeah?Brendocon wrote:What are you? His therapist?Jetfire wrote:Lucas has never been sexual... he's had no seemingly no sexual thoughts
Seriously. He was divorced basically on the grounds of not wanting to give his wife a good seeing to. He had never been in another relationship and hates and forbids any sexual undertones in his films.
What else can you conclude?
edit: although, hang on, isn't one of his kids like 11 or something? The boy, Jett.
Yes.
Jett Lucas.
Oh, and after reading thon making of ROTS book, seems that people should rather be thanking Rick McCallum and all the guys in the art department and the chief guys in the CG department, who seemed to come up with all the ideas for the scenes, what happens in them, the order in which they should go in the film, pretty much all the characters, planets, races, vehicles...everything 'new' really, and made sure the film actually got made despite Lucas' best attempts to not actually do any work and spend all his time dicking about.
Well, not exactly *dicking* about, now, come to think of it...

Yeah, and he`s been doing the same thing ever since.Metal Vendetta wrote:http://film.guardian.co.uk/features/fea ... 31,00.html
When George Lucas Sr asked his son to join him in the art-supply business, George Jr said, "Dad, today you're going to do exactly what you did yesterday, and tomorrow the same. This is your life and you love it. But I only want to do something once." Discuss.
Don`t get me wrong, I LOVE SW, I just hate Lucas, because he`s quite willing to take the credit for things he hasn`t done. Like everything he`s ever done. I hate Tarantino for the same reasons.

Where did you find this out? I'm not insinuating it's not ture, it just sounds like an interesting read. I swear my ex-girlfriend had the same attitude... but in a man, it's just weird.Jetfire wrote:During Return of the Jedi. Never had a relationship since. When was he divorced?
Hence his seeming emotionaly cold feel to his films and the fact the love story in AotC is so basic as to be missunderstood by the author who then takes from Mills and Boon thinking it is a good guide to relationships. Lucas got Spielberg to make Return of the Sith ring true emotionally and act as a consultant.
The RotJ outfit was a one off and directed by somebody else. Lucas is famous for hating boobs on Leia.
I guess that was sexist.

Funny enough, in real life Harrison Ford has been noted to be incredably dull in interviews yet he eats up the screen.snarl wrote:I dont know how somebody with so little charisma has been responsible for some bad ass characters - maybe because Harrison Ford played a few of them?
Go watch the bonus disk from the indy trilogy, the man could turn bore anything.

I recall an Empire interview with him a few years ago where they describe Lucas as strange and sad figure. His Skywalker ranch is heis dream home yet the stain glass window which is the homes masterpiece was built by the man who Lucas' wife had an affair with and left Lucas for.
