Is it my imagination or are these topics a lot nastier than they used to be?

Sure thing.

But I want to finish the basic synopsis first, then we can add things tothe 'skeleton' of the plot.

About your BW-ideas, the one you described here well, it's just too grandstanding. It would change the whole course of events and alter future storylines, which i'm not to keen about to do.

If we do some extra stories, they should be incorporated into the current situation. For example, what happened to Magnus after Deadly Games? There's a potential episode there.

I have got little interest in the idea of a 'Cartoon II', I was talking about, and have been following in this thread and a couple of the others, how arguments seem to have got a lot harsher in the last couple of weeks, what with some people being called 'Nazis' and so on. I'm wondering where it's come from, it's not like this forum at all.

Yeah, Impy got a bit upset, quite unusual for him...

Btw, of course, this is only fiction, but what do you think the alt mode of Impactor and Xaaron were? Impy, I believe, a hovertank (he has no visible tracks) but Xaaron leaves me guessing. His body looks a lot like Megatron's, methink.

Oh and my first post was hard to guess, Shadowsonic, feel free to PM me! You had quite a lot of good ideas before.

Wasn't there somewhere that said Impactor's alt was a "drill tank"?

Impactor turned into some kind of Tank, we never saw it I think (I've only read his appearance in Target 2006, not City of Fear).

Xaaron says he turned into a hovercraft, but he hadn't done so in such a long time it would kill him (beats me why he didn't have anything done about it...)

I think it would be cool if Impactor tunred into something reminiscent of Tankorr's Tank mode (The toy version or the TV version). I mean, it would be kinda strange for him to be an earth-like tank when he's never been off Cybertron.

Maybe in flashbacks, we could have the Cons and Bots turn into BM style vehicle modes, the totally inhuman alien ones. It would make sense too, they've never been off Cybertron then and shouldn't hvae modes that look like Earth vehicles (the War Within designs are nice, but they still look a bit too earthy).

Also, one guy at Allspakr suggested Megatron be voiced by James Blendick (Apocalypse from the FOX X-Men series) since comic Megs was differant from TV Megs. Sounded good to me (If you've heard Apocalypse's voice in that show you'll understand).

Yea, I was going to wait to see yours before I commented or brought up my own ideas. I've always though the TFs should be adapted into like an anime series, something that took the best elements of comic and show and fused them together. I think everyone at the board must have had the same idea.

So when it's posted, I guess you guys should prepare for a lot of flak.

But we have time for guessing voices later. If everything goes fine, I'll have the finished poster by tomorrow...

how are you going to make this cartoon?
ive attempted to CGI even a short TF movie, and the work involved is beyond one man and a normal life

I won't make it... I'll simply do a synopsis, work out the details, etc. Then if everything's neat and finished, I'll plaster it all over the net. (and mail the idea to Furman)

If anyone even considers making it, I haven't lived for naught...

I know how you feel, I can barely master to create a transforming 3D model myself.

A completely animated scene would take far too much time, time which I don't have.

The best thing (on a amateur level) would be:

7 or more modelers/animaters
3 or so sound guys (music/effects)
and a crapload of voice actors.

That setup would work moderately fast I think.

Xaaron never states what his alt mode is.

I think topics like this should be in the fan fiction forum, as it soen eprson trying to impose their ideas, which understandably irritates some people, so i'm moving it there. This forum is for discussing G1, not someone's imagined version of it.

I find all thsi talk of 'BM tension' rather laughable as well.
