Best deal EVAR

Post by Sunyavadin » Mon Dec 24, 2012 10:46 am

So, I got a pretty sweet deal off a friend lately.

£200 worth of TFs

for £100, I got a couple of the WFC deluxes I was missing, along with some nice Generations/Universe/RTS/Henkei ones. Ratchet, Ironhide, Perceptor, Grapple, Astrotrain, Hound, Warpath... And Classics Devastator (Gundam Hands and G1 Devvy head incoming for great upgradeness and justice. Anyone whose local poundland has cheap, easily hacked apart toy cement trucks in it, ideally in an appropriate shade of green, let me know.)

and then for the next £100:

FANSPROJECT BRUTICUS.

All in all, a pretty sweet spend.

UNFORTUNATELY, I am currently faced with a proble, as the wall I keep my TFs on currently consists of more shelf than actual wall. Leaving me very few remaining spaces to add any more places to put the damn things.

Think of it like real-time Transformers Tetris.

I once managed to get about $350 worth of new (but loose) Transformers into a small box. My friend received the box and thought, "this must be the first of two boxes," opened it up, saw everything inside, and emailed me with "Dude, you the god of packing." Dude should have seen my shelves back in the day. They were glorious.

The £100 FP Bruticus is still #1 on my MASSIVE GRIN INDUCING list of good deals.

I had to reorganise EVERY transformer AND remove an entire shelf and swap it for a bigger one to make space for the gestalts.

In other news, I'm getting increasingly suspicious of the gathering number of yellow repaints across the road....

AND another friend just bought me FoC Jazz. To celebrate stores finally getting the FoC deluxes in.

All the FOC Jazzes I saw had sloppy paint jobs, but FOC Shockwave was fantastic.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

No stores here seem to have him yet and I forced myself to hold out for the United version because I NEED a proper Shockwave but I WANT him to be the best I can get.

(Especially so he looks cool on the video I plan to make of me strapping a bunsen to his arm and melting the DOTM pile of crap that's been placeholding on my shelf for him since a "friend" convinced me he was the best Shockwave we were gonna get until FP eventually got round to doing one sometime)
