"Transformers? On Sale at Supermarkets? I must warn the others! Oh No! I've been bought!"

The Classics/Universe ones, right?

Will have to do my annual Tesco visit early this year, then. And repeat until exhausted.

Then start on Sainsbury's, Asda, Lidl, Somerfield... err... Morrison's, Co-Op... err... Tesco... errr.... Oh, wait!

I miss Woolworths.

I'm sure ASDA will have em too...

Been quite surprised actually, I knew my local massive Tesco was doing the new Universe, but didn't think they'd have these badboys, at least not for the forseable future.

Just had a casual look to see what they did have and bingo. Snapped the [composite word including 'f*ck'] up in an instant.

And they are lush.

I bought Henkei Cyclonus recently (there is a really good seller on Ebay who sells Henkei for 10-16$ each usually) - he is a marvel of engineering... The split-in-two legs, the arm transformation, the way his nosecone fits in the body... genius.

I must say I prefer the Henkei version, he's the same light purple as he was in the Movie/cartoon. And the chrome on Nightstick is awesome.

I just had a chance to compare Henkei and Classics Hound at Huncon 2009, and although the differences are small, the more G1-accurate yellow stripes and darker green, plus the chrome bumper makes Henkei Hound look much better. Ravage is ace too - did you know G1 Ravage's rockets can be fit onto him?

Yeah, who the eff is this dude!

I would have preferred Henkei flavours, but I wasn't going to knock the opportunity to snap these guys up for just over a tenner each on my doorstep, in my hands, without having to wait for them to get flown over from the far east.

Agreed on Cyclonus, he is class, as is Hound.

I've got Cyclonus and Titanium Scourge set up on my windowsill, kicking the **** out of the G1 cars a la T2006. It looks ggggggggggggreat...

[composite word including 'f*ck'], just realised I can put Megatron and ML Soundwave on the Bots team as well. Sweet.

My local [composite word including 'f*ck']-off massive Tescos have oodles of Universe stuff, but not these badgers.

Asda might have them, but seeing as my local Asda is on the same complex as a Toys R Us, I've not once seen the point of bothering to check.

I checked my local ADSA (I like to refer to it as AIDS), they only had Animated.

But yeah, Tesco is proper Bo as far as Universe stuff goes. I couldn't really believe just how much they had, very nice surprise.

I really want a Jazz Universe and I'm very surprised they haven't done one.

The seller is http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Toys-cards- ... QQ_armrsZ1 - reliable guy, first chinese seller I found for whom "Combined Shipping" doesn't mean that 4 deluxes cost 4x18$ to ship... :)

Has a nice selection of older and newer Henkeis too. And some are brutally cheap (10$ for Sideswipe? Voyager Prime for only 24$?) Cyclonus is 19$, though - guess because he's relatively new.

I think it was due to Animated Jazz being on the shelves at the same time. They mentioned that Prowl was allowed as the two toys are totally different.

There is Legends Jazz, though, who is quite nice.

I hope that we'll eventually see a Universe Jazz in the future, as well as a Blitzwing - we need him alongside Astrotrain and Octane(Tankor).

I would love to see a Henkei Scorponok and Shockwave.

I ordered Inferno from eBay a few days ago and he came today. He is awesome. Satisfyingly bulky, but still very poseable and a suprisingly complex transformation.

Inspired by this thread I bundled down to the local tesco to find... a single movie fast action battler thingy. Though wasn't a totally wasted trip - 2 for 1 grapes...
