Here is my review of these toys - IMHO, well worth the 60-60$ I gave out on them (and I usually shy away from expensive exclusives), and much more show and toy-accurate then the Botcon version!
Scroll down - apparently some mod merged my thread with that of another reviewer.

I'd love to have them both. Can't really justify spending all that money on them right now though.
Maybe one day I'll nip over to Japan to get them

Well, TC was given a second run, but Skywarp wasn't - they are sold by two different stores in japan (like Target and Toys'R'Us) - given that, I'd say Dirge may sees a second run, but Thrust won't.stranger wrote:Mmm - the money thing for me too, although more justifiable than the plain old thundercracker repaint jobbie (just). I assume that these guys are going to be a fairly limited run?
Hasbro also hinted at a "maybe" release of these, in different forms (I guess repaints into obscure seekers) in the US in 2010 or later... but I wouldn't count on that much.
I advise, if you like Classics - get them. I did not buy TC and Skywarp when they came out and regretted it. They only got more expensive over time - I did not want to make this mistake with the coneheads.

I got them both. I haven't opened them yet. Got them for $80 a piece. Dirge is pretty cool, but Thrust's a little disappointing. He isn't accurate. He is mostly a repaint of Starscream with a conehead. The wings were done all wrong. The only original piece molded are the tail fins. They also put the trusters on his tail fins. The trusters should be on his wings.

Hey, Ikijigoku - check my review photos, Thurst is excellent! You can remove the VTOL engines from the tailfins and put them on the upside or downside of his wings, that way in robot mode he looks just like in the cartoon! He's miles better then Botcon Thrust. And for the record, his wings are totally new, not G1 Starscream repaints. There is a little wing-rotating trick I found out that makes it even better to pose him.Ikijigoku wrote:I got them both.
