Found 2007 Movie Optimus Prime "Leader Class"

Post by elbryan42 » Sat May 19, 2007 10:04 pm

Yeah, I know it's been years since I've been here (I now manage a restaurant, not leaving me ANY time). But yeah, since I found a huge-a** Optimus Prime at Walmart in my quest to find classic Grimlock locally, I figured it was newsworthy.

I found Leader Class Optimus Prime at the Southland Mall Walmart in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was the only one there.

I just opened him up, and I can take some pictures at work tonight if anyone would like to see it.

Took the pictures, but I'm an amateur with the camera (got my first camera in 29 years for Christmas), but I'll definitely be posting some pics tomorrow night. :)

BTW, this guy rocks. Though I can't decide whether or not I'm looking forward to the movie, this toy is a freaking masterpiece. One of the best TF toys I've ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on, or playing with. I've transformed him about 10 times already.

The thing didn't even have a tag or a price on it. It looked like it was just thrown there. My guess is an employee took one early for themselves and put the other one on the shelf.

I lucked out for sure. It was well worth the cash ($60 CAN).

There's an animated gif that shows what I'm assuming is the automorph gimmick.
