The first Classics toys arrived in Hungary - Wave 1 MInicons.
I bought the Dinobots and the Night Rescue Team - didn't have enough money on me for the Demolitions team... They cost only 6,2 euro - pretty cheap, compared to Cybertron - Cybertron Scouts cost 9,5 euros here.
My thoughts about the toys:
-Knockdown: Great alt mode, although his limbs cannot really move and he's a bit super-deformed... Transformation is pretty innovative, has good articulation in legs and forearms, and the robot head is great. Stands firm too... only gripe I have are colors. Bit too bland... I hope he gets a G1 Slag repaint.
-Terrorsaur: Rex mode is great, he can even open his mouth! However he stands too much upright, and if you make him lean forward he can fall on his nose. The robot mode is so-so, pretty much a mini-BW Megs. His arms are very articulated, and he can turn his upper body too, but he'd have used some real hands instead of the rex jaw on the left hand. Face is cool, though.
-Swoop: My favourite of the three! Incredibly detailed, and the transformation is very complex. Even in dino mode, he can flap his wings and open his beak and move the neck. Plus, I found a non-official mode for him where he can land and stand on his dino legs. In robot mode, he's tiny and a bit ugly, but I really like the face. The arms/legs have lots of movable joints, but they are hard to snap into the breastplate. Plus, the hands/wings make it look as if he had wristblades. My only gripe are the unpainted dino eyes, but I'll fix that soon enough...
-Strongarm: Has a great vehicle mode, but lacks paint - windows should have been painted silver. The transformation is very strange - you basically rotate the two sides of the car out and they form both legs and arms, then flip the front bumper forward. Sadly he has a design flaw - the part that holds the head/bumper makes the right side of the car impossible to turn out 90 degrees... The robot face is very good, but could use some facepaint.
-Divebomb: Great vehicle mode... Really good colors, and for some strange reason his rotor spins for a really long time when you turn it. Transformation is... interesting. His robot mode looks more like an old Gobot helicopter's, but not that bad as I thought from initial pics. He sadly cannot raise his arms... that's the bad thing about him, but otherwise, he stands firm even on these really long legs. Only trouble is the underside front part of the cockpit - you must pull it out before rotating it, and I'm sure it'll become loose soon after a few transformations.
-Firebot: Perhaps the best of the three, alt mode is small but very detailed and painted, I especially like the silver railing on the back. The water cannons can rotate. he transformation is simple, and he has lots of panels on him in robot mode - on the legs, hips, shoulders. Overall he looks very G1-like. The cannons are now on his arms, and he can pose them well... The head is like G1 Hot Spots, only a bit 'long'. Only gripe I have with him - why are the shoulders/front of car made of brown plastic and then painted over red? Would have been easier to make them red alltogether... I can easily see they'll have wear soon.
Overall: They are all excellent toys, Armada Minicons look like RID Spychangers in compexity and design next to these... in fact, some like Swoop and Strongarm are even TOO complex, for the 5 year old kids these are aimed at... I can already tell you which ones will we be picking up broken/missing parts some years later on the flea market... They are greatly painted and detailed, and they are made of much better quality plastic then the Armada Minicons. I recommend them to everyone who likes small and yet complex Transformers.

I got the Demolition team on Thursday - definetly the worst of the three, but I started to like them later on...
-Broadside: He's propably the ugliest TF since the Firecons. So ugly, that he's cute. In fact, he's not only a homage to the Super Gobot Destroyer who also had a tank turret head, but to the Firecons too - he too has short stubby arms and a big wide robot head with a tiny face. His righ arm is a gatling gun, which looks very cool. However, he has trouble standing - the legs would have needed a flip-out foot. Transformation is brilliant, btw.
-Wideload: great vehicle mode, just like a G1 constructicon or Energon Demolishor with lots of paint. Transformation is clever and he has a rotating hip and ball-jointed legs - but, the armss are very awkward. He cannot move them forward, and he doesn't even has hands. But the worst thing is, his face is totally unpainted- again, that I'll have to fix. Also it'd have been better if all of his rear wheels would have been black, as two are green and they are out of place.
-Sledge: On pics, I really hated this... and I ended up liking him the most when I got them. The vehicle mode is not only really detailed and greatly painted, but very articulated too: the shovel arm can move sideways and the shovel moves too, while the front shovel is on a ball joint! He has more movement in this mode then his Energon namesake! Transformation is clever, and he can rotate at the hips, his right arm has ball joint on the shoulder, and his legs can move sideways at the knees too. of course, he has no hands at all... trouble is, the left shovel arm doesn't really works as a robot arm. Btw - mine was packed with the legs assembled incorrectly. You can actually take them off and put them back, so that in robot mode his waist faces the right direction.
