You're not far off. Those are three of the six Micromasters that combine to form Sixwing - problem is all the actual combining is done with the Sixwing body parts.

The one here is in Decepticon colors but otherwise it's the same dude.

Here's a newer version, Sixwing's first US release as Micromaster Superion.

As is the case with all the Micromaster Combiners?

Yeah, I've got Micromaster Superion, released in the UK as Cybertron rather than Universe.

Also got Micromaster Devastator (Energon, don't know if it was in the US as Universe, tho) and aside from the Micromasters, the Head shape and the colour scheme, the combiner parts seem identical.

So, is this the case for all the Micromaster Combiners?

There are five different combining Micromaster groups (of which one is a slight remold). Takara released those first in 90's. In 2003 those molds were reissued, in some cases in a bit different colours and also as "chase" versions (except for Sixliner). Lately Hasbro has released these groups in Energon/Cybertron (Europe) or in Universe (N-A) lines.

Combiner parts are partly same, partly different. As a thumb rule body and trousers are always the same. Head and fists are slightly different.

Sixliner -> reissue Sixliner.

Sixturbo -> reissue Sixturbo, chase version; black -> "Defensor" by Hasbro.

Sixbuilder -> reissue Sixbuilder, chase version; Destron, constructicon colours -> "Devastator" by Hasbro, constructicon colours, much more detailed than Takara's chase version.

Sixwing -> reissue Sixwing (Destron, new colours), chase version; white -> "Superion" by Hasbro (new colours).

Sixtrain -> reissue Sixtrain, chase version; Sixtrain (red) -> "Rail Racer" by Hasbro.

Sometimes also Landcross is counted as Micromasters, propably because it was reissued at same time as MM combiners.

There's also an exhaustive review of Rail Racer or more prcisely an essay of the MM combiner reissues on Tfarchive.

Nice little toys, especially if you like Micromasters. Still missing Sixliner, Sixtrain (or Rail Racer) and Superion.

Interesting.

I may have to go looking for "Defensor" and "Rail Racer" at some point, then.

I've got the Devastator recolour, which is pretty sweet - he's just about to scale with my knock-off "World's Smallest Defensor", which is also just about in scale with the WSTF Prime and Prowl - rather a nice little diorama going on there now :)
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

The ones I got are all knockoff - for some reason they don't have a Sixturbo in this line, but they did blow up his mold to the size of Predaking this one time. I'm serious.

I've known about the right sized KOs, got Sixwing (I think), but haven't seen big ones. How's the quality?

I saw lots of Sixbuilder KOs - in originals colors - in the size of Defensor and the 86 Gestalts lately.

Haven't seen one out of package, but the colors I remember were pretty funky, and I think it came with an alternate head piece modelled after something non-TF.

It's well out of circulation now, but this oversized Sixbuild I tracked down is about the same size.
