A couple of weeks ago a good friend of mine (and fellow tf collector) received this Repugnus. At first sight you could think is the original one, but watching closely you notice that instead of the 4 screws in front, there are only 2 visible (although it has the 4).

Also there is no indication of the rub sign spot and it doesnt have the info of Hasbro -and such- were it should be. It also has a different location of the protection of the spark activation switch. And the screws are black.
As far as I knew there wasnt a Ko of this toy and it was neither made from a previous toy. So what is this? Also the plastic is practically the same as the original. Any help????

Prototype, most likely... could he take comparison pics with the real one?
Near-perfect replicas do exist. I once bought a Predator Talon that was EXACTLY like the real one, even had the translucent eyes most KO Predators don't have, only the missing Hasbro sign and the different wing stickers gave it off.
If it is a prototype, it should still have some marking, no? Besides the 87 toys were still designed by Takara, weren't they?
