Approve of having more minicons, although it seems to defeat the purpose of the classics line??

Umm, I already made a topic for these in the News section.

Btw - they were made for Cybertron (I bet the dinos would have been the JUngle Planet Minicon Team) like the Giant Planet team, just were pushed into Classics. Same way as Energon and Cybertron had the various Micromaster combiner teams. Thus, there still can be a Classics Swoop in the line.

I really like them, Btw. Much better then any Takara-mada Minicons (save maybe Energon Perceptor).

Actually, Hound beat you to it by several hours - yours just happened to be the one that got all the replies, initially, as it was in a more prominent location.

Well then sorry Hound! :p I simply missed this post and thought you posted it now when it's really old news.

Check the Botcon pics - two more Minicon teams, the hot rod Decepticons look badass, especially the monster truck.Too bad the dragon minicon is not in a mythical team but in an Autobot flyer team...

They just popped up in Singapore. Funny how some of them have two Minicon ports - yet none of the regular line even have one. :eyebrow:

That's because these Minicons were made for Cybertron, like the Giant Planet team, but were postponed to Classics... then again, most of the Cybertron toys have no Minicon ports either. :eyebrow:

Back on topic - if I were getting these I'd probably just get the rescue team. The police car and chopper look really neat, but some of the robot forms from the Dino and Demolition are too weird for my taste. Check out Sledge, the vehicle mode just suffers from the colors but in robot form - blegh.

Got the Night Rescue Team like I said, and I noticed a few things.

It doesn't say Classics anywhere on the packaging, which sort of proves BB's point. In a way.
Strongarm has two Minicon holes on the underside in car mode, which flip out to form his robot legs while revealing TWO MORE HOLES ON THE INSIDE. Which makes Strongarm the first Minicon ever to have four holes, the most for a single Minicon so far.*
Divebomb's legs are meant to connect to that blue thing hanging between, making it the actual location of his groin - for some reason mine won't stick together that way.
Firebot's arm guns are surprisingly strong given how thin they look. He's officially the best of the lot.
Worked out a weapon mode for Divebomb, but not the other two - for now.
RE-EDIT: And for some reason, the Rescue and Destruction teams each have one member that could be paired into a two-man MILITARY team. It's just like back in Armada, with the two pushalong-action teams each having one military-style Minicon (Dualor and the armored jeep).

* May be speaking too soon, I dunno.

EDIT: Brought back Classics Megatron today and I discovered something - the two pegs on his wings, which fit onto the scope in gun mode, could be used as Minicon pegs.
EDIT 2: Brought back Astrotrain, and he's got a Minicon peg on his gun - only it's in a rather awkward position, but the fit is snug.
