- 4 Alternator redecos scheduled, 5 new molds scheduled/planned
- No World's Smallest Transformers Coming
- No plans for a G.I. Joe/Transformers toyline crossover
- No plans for War Within figures
- Hasbro is looking at the possibility of putting older, harder to find Alternators (Tracks, Meister, Shockblast) online at the Hasbro Toy Shop
- Hasbro is planning an Alternators Mirage
- Soundwave is going to be a helicopter in the movie
- Universe is finished, save for store exclusive releases
- Seacons, "Green" Landfill, Jetfire Decepticon repaints may become Hasbro Toy Shop exclusives
- Mini-Con Battle Packs will be repaints for the first wave, and all new molds from that point on
- Hasbro will begin introducing larger Alternators at a higher price point
5 new molds? Alternator Mirage? Larger Alternators??? *exhales* Yay!
Soundwave the helicopter. Because even though Cyclonus makes sense and has worked in the past, it's just not a big enough bone to throw the fans.

The toy of that Soundwave chopper (if they make one) should play the Ride of the Valkyries.
Alt Mirage
Cheers for the info

If by "no-one" you mean just about every geek/dork/nerd/ on earth. SDCC is, by far, the biggest nerd-event on the planet.

Double topic! And SDCC rules, now donn' it?
I think it's good to hear that we've got 5 new molds confirmed for Alternators. But bigger size-class? Would this imply that some new molds are Decepticon-jets, and now we are getting the phenomenon of giant cons towering up above the lil' Autobots?
Hopefully it will be used for fitting characters.

Bah. SDCC is already all over this site in a most unorganized manner anyway. There are the IDW/Movie SDCC topics in G1, so I just thought I'd stick this here.

it is a toy based topic. i think its fitting in the toy forum.
i spent the last few days at the con. WOW!!
nerd heaven.
there was a full size semi truck under wraps with a huge autobot logo teasing us all with the promise of a movie on 6/4/07
i didnt find many tf toys , but i did find the reissue predaking. sadly , id already spent my cash on comics.
one day it will be mine. at least i got to hold it .

Hopefully this weekend's Cybercon will just as informative. Sorry to see no War Within figures. Oh well. ;-)

Alrighty then, with the exception of Screamer. ;-) Not quite the same as a War Within series of figures.
