I had a problem with a secondhand Blaster I bought recently where his hatch wouldn't open, despite pressing his button like a nut. Upon opening him up in case something was jammed, I couldn't understand the logic of his mechanics - it was needlessly complicated. In fact, as far as I could see, the hatch would never open with this system. In the end I had to file down a knub that was jamming the mechanism.
It could have just been mine (and possibly yours), but I'm surprised no-one else has asked about this.
Surgery seems to be the only answer, I'm afraid...

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

I had to open my soundwave to get his door open, and it resulted in a day and a half of profanities and luck. Its not so bad once you figure it out. I can't remember the trick though

Mine works fine.
I found it was the only part of him that did work well.
He wouldn't stand worth a toot... Darn small feet.

Just found this quote in a Blaster review on TFW2005:
When play is pressed, the stop button will depress it. Warning: Many Blasters have malfunctioning tape deck/button mechanisms so it’s something to look out for when purchasing.
It's not just me and anna thankfully.
