You're thinking of China. As for what they do with them...it's not something that would go over well in the western world...

Japanese birthrates are declining because their citizens are more worried about their careers than settling down and having a family. Which I can understand. Sure, it's a serious problem, but it's understandable. What are they going to do? Force Japanese citizens to marry and have children?

I'm not familiar with Tomy, so I can't comment on what it could mean for the future of TFs.

Tomy are like the Japanese Fisher-Price, they make a lot of kids toys, electronic ones, mainly.

Since Hasbro produce Zoids as well as Tf's in the U.S., it is only logical that Takara do the same thing.

What kind of transforming toys and/or action figure toys Tomy makes? Zoids? Would someone have a link available? *clueless and propably lazy* :(
