Looks like binaltech action playsets and possibly galvatron reissues. Do you think they would put cassesttes in the minibot sets?

There are more than enough mini bots to go round so i doubt it for now.

Can think of plenty of toys i would rather see rereleased than Galvy, who, lets face it, is a bit wank...

...unless they have some remould fun with him.

cheers for the news.

If that's true I will most probably kill my friend in Japan who told me that Takara would rerelease Artfire. A minibot set seems quite probable to me although Galavtron really looks like an odd choice for TFC since it would not fit in the standard TFC bookcase. When they released OP in TFC they released it as a special release and numbered it "0" instead of "8". Also they somehow managed to fit Megatron in a double sized box but Galavatron is another story. Remember that they didn't even release Grimlock or any other Dinobots (obviously because they don't fit in TFC bookcases). Anyway we'll see. This is not what I was waiting for.

apparently the bt doesnt stand for binal tech. It stands for blocktown.

Previously unreleased lego from g2 era

The pictures fit with the descriptions.

As for the news on TFC, your probably right, it wont be cassettes. Also I'm not the biggest fan of galvatron either. Would love to see a grimlock reissue as well.

Galvy's a bit big for the book boxes... Without seeing the kana myself, I can't make too much of a guess, but I'd love it if that's actually meant to say Carb. ie Hosehead...
Grrr. Argh.

Does it have to fit in the TFC bookcases? Is there a law that says it does? (waits for some smartarse to post a link to official Takara statement about box sizes and how they won't change. Ever)
Personally, I'd like to see some Headmasters stuff - I never got Hardhead or Apeface or Highbrow.
Hell, let's have some more big stuff like Predaking. I want Trypticon, Skylynx and Omega Supreme.

Yes. Otherwise the boxes become different sizes and look daft on my shelf, dammit.

The whole idea of TFC is to issue a Transformers collection that looks somehow like a "library" when they are displayed in their boxes on a shelf. OK they made an exception for OP and somehow for Megatron (but keep in mind that even in that case they simply put him in a double box - rather than a different sized box in which he would display more nicely). I think that we can forget seeing some of the larger Transformers like the Horrorcons or the Dinobots for now. Maybe when they manage to release all TFs that can fit in the TFC bookcases they will change to larger boxes. I don't think that there is any chance of seeing some of the larger TFs that were never rereleased or Predaking in TFC either. For now we should just thank Takara that they released him in their Commemorative Series.

"obviously because they don't fit in TFC bookcases"

i think that's a bit of a leap.

do the block town toys come with the G2 figures? Could be tempted in that case...

Okay - so I'm dumb. I just wanted some stuff that I didn't get my hands on first time around. All the other releases I've already got in one form or another. Unfortunately, most of the stuff I want would be too big for the current TFC boxes (Boooo!). Surely the small box size will limit the releases to mostly cars and mini toys? Well, until we get the bigger boxes.

I don't think it's a bit of a leap. Just think about it. Leaving aside Megs and OP that are a must for any TF collection all the other 17 boxes are exactly the same size (even Soundblaster that displays very awfully in that small box). When they released Predaking they did it as a Commemorative release with its old pretty box and not in TFC. If they decide to release Girmlock for instance they would either have to release it as a regular reissue or enlarge the size of the TFC boxes for it. The fact that we didn't get any Dinobots, which are extremely popular characters, Ultra Magnus, Combiner sets etc. IMO is enough evidence to show that they are trying to avoid having to change the sizes of the TFC bookcases.

Just to clarify - they have actually already changed the size of the TFC boxes. Compare the depth of Inferno's box to the depth of Prowl's. Different!

Grimlock could fit in one of those boxes, I'm sure... even if his dino arms mean he can't, I'm sure he could be packed in robot mode...
Grrr. Argh.

Yay! 'Cept I already have Grimlock (G1 and G2). But if Dinobots might be on the menu, I wouldn't say no to Swoop - I'm sure alot of TF fans would like him in their collection - especially the UK ones who missed out on his release. He'd probably fit in the old size boxes anyway.

I didn't notice that the Inferno box was a different size - still it's not that evident. I am not saying that they are doing it because they don't have money to make a new mold for the boxes. Probably they want to give fans a new G1 collection that looks neater than the old collection and they want to keep the size of the boxes consistent. Grimlock would not be tough to fit in the boxes but Sludge and Slag would be next to impossible + packaged in robot mode they wouldn't look nice. If I were Takara, at this point, I would release all the smaller TFS (cars, jets, Targetmasters, triple changers, tapes and minibots) and then after those are finished change the size of the boxes to fit the combiners, Dinobots, Monsterbots, Headmasters and Powermasters.

PS: Since my stupid Japanese agent still says that Takara are going to rerelease a Japanese Exclusive TM could that be instead of Garuba --> Charuba?? (That is Kup). I know that KUP is really a US exclusive but that guy makes a lot of confusion sometimes.
