Come on - it doesn't have to be cars all the time. It doesn't even have to be a vehicle. What would you like to see (but probably won't) in the BT line (and I don't mean the phone service)?

Here's a few of my ideas:
1) Obvious one first: gestalts - which would mean helicopters, motorbikes, spaceshuttles, tanks, fire-engines, ambulances, jets. Complicated yes - but surely we have the technology now.
2) Reflector - as a real working digital camera. I've got a 4mp one that can fit in a cigarette box, so one should easily fit in a BT-size 'bot. Or use those cheap but tiny ones in a kids line.
3) As an extention for no.2, how about a new TF line like those kid's spy toy sets? Listening devices, compasses, torches, digital clocks, binoculars (Binotech - heh), MSG sets - that kind of thing.
3) Soundwave - with a real radio in him. Or a pocket television.
4) Spy cassettes - to go into the above Soundwave. Except these ones would have soundchips in them with music on that play through Soundwave's speakers.
5) More G1-accurate designs - MP Prime: yes, Grimlock as a car: no.

Okay, the electronic ones would obviously push the price up, but it's a better gimmick than the 'plug-in' thing that seems to be the 'new' idea for all TF lines now.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with vehicles - just as long as they aren't more bloody cars.

So, any other ideas?

I do hope Takare/Hasbro learned from Yamato toys for the engineering feet on the design of the valkyries to make seekers based on the F15.

I believe playsets will be the next addition to the BT line.

Playsets? Of what? Hmm.. the Ark. The ARK!!! That'd be cool!
I think I suggested KITT and the A-Team for this in another topic ('I hate BT Grimlock'), but at least it's not just me that wants them. Surely movie and TV tie-ins is a cover-all suggestion. You list an impressive, er, list though, Darth. And yes: we NEED tanks.

I heard the seekers were somewhere on the horizon.

What about things that aren't just a change of vehicle make? Hound's playsets is a good idea, but could be expensive considering the required scale.
How about Unicron? - although the Armada one was near perfect. Or Beast Wars characters with more realistic animal modes and real fur (mmm... soft).
Radio control transforming cars and boats.
Triple changers.

how about a pirate ship? or maybe some masterpiece animorphs? i know! a transforming bag of plastic dog poo! yeah, that would be sweet.

i usually do prefer cars, but some planes would mix it up nicely.

Some oldstyle period stuff could be cool. Pirate ship...hmm.

I am Rigger! (has Decepticon logo with crossbones on it... waits for someone to post a design of one).

Although I sense some sarcasm here as well. Animorphs? Urgh!
Still, you could get alot of recolours from a dog poo TF - traditional brown, the nostalgic white, grass-eater green, peanut design (waits for design to be posted).

Log or swirl?

If we're talking about movie licenses, I would love to see a Batmobile. And I do mean the new Batmobile.

What about a TF that was also a RC car?

What about a TF/Alarm Clock combo?

And that was "The Best Idea In The World Followed By The Worst Idea In The World," written by me. I'll be here all week.

Oh wait, they already thought of the former, didn't they? :sheba:

They did that weird time-controlling raccoon clock in the Jap BW series.
As for Xbox/PS2 etc - it would brill if they actually worked. You meant that, right Darth?

All Throttlebot jokes aside, I DO think RC Transformers would be sweet.

We have Arcee. :D
I always wished someone had a transforming robot on Robot Wars. It drives around and then transforms and blasts the opponent with a lickle laser gun. Hurrah!

Nah Just meant for them to transform, although if the transformations were simplified that would work. :D

Visions of those robots in the Sega game 'Virtual On' with their little games console on their backs (it opened up to show the disc spinning when the 'bots jumped).
