hmm although the stock price rose recently, seems like there might be a chance that this company will just liquidate toys r us. If this does happen I'll be a little bit depressed. I know toys r us was overpriced a lot of the time, but I did grow up being a toys r us kid, and still remember being excited about trips there.
toys r us sold...

I don't recall Toys R Us ever being overpriced. In fact, when they started out, they were the cheapest toy retailer of them all, because they were able to amass a lot of buying power for each of their stores.
These days, stores like Wal-Mart and Target have even more buying power, so they can get their toys even cheaper, but TRU always did the best they could (with the exception of their exclusives, which WERE always overpriced). What I liked the most about TRU though was that toys were their focus. There have been too many times that I've walked into a Target or Wal-Mart and literally found one transformer. TRUs are usually very well stocked, and that's worth a few extra bucks to me.
