UK TF advert spotted on TV. Fans stunned.

I don't believe it! I'm trying to remember the last time I saw a TF ad on telly. Nope, back in the mists of time somewhere perhaps.
This advert showed up on UK Toonami this afternoon (Sat 12th March '05) and I was really surprised to see such a thing still happened in this country.
Unfortunately it was still extremely kiddy fare - unlike the CGI-fests most toy ads are these days (odd considering the animation format of the current shows). There WERE about 1.5 seconds from the Energon cartoon show, but I don't count that 'cos it wasn't new footage.
Then Energon Megatron and Omega Supreme battled it out on a table as some kid stood in the background (well, they didn't ACTUALLY battle - 'cos they were TOYS - but you know what I meant). Megatron was transformed from jet to 'bot, but Omega wasn't because it would have shown what a limited and disappointing toy he was (I was certainly disappointed myself).
The end of the advert was also a bit weird 'cos where they'd normally have the 'beauty shot' of the toys, they showed them all packed up in their boxes. This made them really had to see (not helped by the fact they were so small in the TV frame anyway).
All in all, not the best TF ad I've ever seen on the TV - I always remember fondest the Dinobot one where they came out of the sand, and the CGI/live-action ones for G2 (forshadowing the new movie).
Any other new UK ads out there that I may have missed? I was very disappointed, but at least there was something to show TFs are still out there on our toystore shelves.

Speaking of which, a fortnight ago it was prime, last week ironhide, this week should be Megs, next unicron.

Ok there pretty poor I’ll grant you, though to be fair ironhide was very close to the original, not difficult really tho.
But hay i'm a sucker for crap transformer related stuff like McD's Toys *looks at armada ones  *

Didn't see that - although I am collecting the toys for it.
Perhaps there's loads of ads on and I just keep missing them.
I'll have to keep an eye out for the McD ad though - pity the offer finishes next week. Thanks for letting me know.

It was news to me. I guess I need to watch a bit more telly so I don't miss the good stuff. I only watch Toonami when TF is on, so I suppose I'm bound to miss most of the ads on there.
Also, I saw the McD ad about two minutes after I posted last time - talk about ironic. Are those Prime arms different on the toy shown in the ad? My one had arms spread out like he was doing starjumps, but the ad one looked like his arms were more normally positioned.
Or am I just in need of some thick-lensed specs?
