Question for those of you who kitbash...

Post by Neo Challenger » Fri Mar 04, 2005 11:29 pm

What's the best kind of paint to use for repainting TFs? I am kitbashing Armada Prime, and have actually managed to get the look I want by swapping parts between the original version, the Powerlinx version, and the Costco exclusive version (not much left of that one's cab), but there are a couple of parts I'd like to repaint. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think Dylan may be able to help also, I'm sure he repainted Alt/BT Smokescreen in his G1 colours. (I might be wrong though and if I am, I apologise to whomever did that sterling job)

Well, I use the Games Workshop miniatures paints. They're okay but they get chipped a bit on areas where they touch during transformation...:(
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Thanks for the tip; there's a GW shop near where I live. I seem to remember reading somewhere that acrylics were the best for TFs, but I'd like to get an 'expert opinion', as it were.
