Got my Master Galvatron delivered today!! I've heard that it's a "limited editon" (the box is a monochromatic blue and there's a gold foil sticker on the front) but I have no idea how 'limited' it may be. In any case, this is one badass repaint! The car mode out-Batmobiles the Batmobile, and the colors are most excellent. Highly recommended even if you already have Master Megatron!

And the haul just keeps on coming! Picked up Cybertron "Armorhide" today; he's pretty schweet for his size and kinda reminds me of Huffer. Also snagged the TRU exclusive Starscream/Vector Prime two-pack. I got that mainly for the Starscream repaint, which is very well done. As I already have the Galaxy Force version of Vector Prime, I'm giving the one I got today to a nephew.

Got GC-16 Ligerjack yesterday. The robot mode is a little lacking in arm articulation, but otherwise is a really good TF, highly detailed. I'm wondering if I could take the hand off of a Unicron fig (Unicrons are pretty cheap around here) and find a way to attach it on the "savage claw mode".

How cheap are Unicrons? I've been looking to get one (Armada variation) but they cost about 70$ here in Hungary---

I'm seeing Unicrons for about $25 US at KB stores around here; they're in Energon packaging but it's the Armada figure. LMK and maybe I can hook you up, BB.

Picked up Cybertron Mudflap at Target last night. Other than the clown feet, he's pretty cool; great detail and articulation, and everything is nice and tight. I like his head sculpt too, it's one of the more original I've seen. Recommended!

The stuff I bought from Best First arrived yesterday: Convention exclusive Sideswipe and Sunstreaker (the RID Prowl molds), as well as a boatload of Terrorcons including the Japanese-only blue Divebomb, dark green Insecticon, and red Cruellock.

Total Terrorcon army count is 31: 5 Battle Ravage, 3 Command Ravage, 5 Insecticon, 1 dark green Insecticon, 8 Divebomb, 1 blue Divebomb, 4 Cruellock, 3 Doom-lock, and 1 red Cruellock.

I'll add more Terrorcons if I can get them really cheap...

Good haul today: Energon Quickstrike for $15 (at KB; my local KB has a buttload of reissue G1 Sideswipes BTW), Cybertron Brushguard and the three Cybertron Minicon two-packs. Nice repaints on the 'Autobot' minicons, and the 'Decepticon' minicons are ok, except for the lime green Gunbarrel repaint. Oh, and Hasbro's skimping on the paint for the Force Chi.. I mean, Cyber Planet Keys. The one that came with Brushguard only has silver paint on the top, leaving the sides blue plastic, while the chip that came with Mudflap is silver on top and on the sides, like the good stuff from Japan. Oh well, I'm sure that teeny bit of paint not applied saves them money or some junk. Still, am pleased with the haul; supreme-sized Starscream will be joining them soon as I can get him out of layaway.

Brought home supreme-sized Starscream tonight. He's.. well, he's big, that's for sure. The crown is a REALLY sweet touch, and having the chest guns pivot up makes you wonder why the smaller mold didn't have that in the first place. I really like this mold; Galaxy Force/Cybertron Starscream is one of the better TFs to come along in a while IMO.

I'll slap batteries in tomorrow and see what all the sounds are like.

Edit- sounds suck.

Stopped by my TRU after work today (this time of year? yes, I may be just that stupid) just to see what was there, and I picked up a Cybertron 'Wreckloose". Interesting little TF. I like the asymmetrical design, and hey, one more for the bad guys, eh?

I like them both; it's nice to see the designers take a chance with a funky design once in a while, something a little more innovative. Sure, they're not everyone's cup of energon, but it's that little offbeat TF that ends up sticking out.

Post-Christmas haul.. well, small haul, found Cybertron "Thunderblast" and "Brimstone" tonight. Thunderblast has an interesting hip/upper leg design to facilitate transformation, although she's basically a robot figure strapped to a boat. Brimstone's legs have a nice asymmetry to them; both figures are of course highly detailed as one would expect from this line. Now, if my G1 Galvatron reissue would just show up...

w00t w00t! The mailman just delivered my G1 Galvatron reissue. This is one I never had a chance to own, so I'm very excited to have the new version. He's definitely G1 though, rather brick-ish, but I dig the new color scheme, and the movie phrases (in Japanese) are kinda cool.

I have to say, though, between this one and Energon Galvatron, I prefer the Energon incarnation a little more. Just IMO.

Picked up the Star Wars Obi-Wan Transformer today. The transformation is simple but clever, and I like the attention to detail on the Jedi Starfighter design. I'm impressed that the designers were able to take the Star Wars vehicles and craft decent TFs out of them.

Also snagged an Alternators Sunstreaker (had Alt. Prowl in hand, but not enough $$ :( ). The new Alternators packaging blows goats, because now I have to destroy the box to get at the toy. I think Hasbro blew it with the new box design; at least I've got 'da boyz' (Sideswipe and Sunstreaker) together at last!!

A massive box from Singapore arrived the other day with the folowing Galaxy Force figures:
- Backpack, a very nice, very detailed figure for its size.
- Excillion, basic transformation but a very nice figure. Apart from his Force chip power, 'two little wings'
- First Aid, One of my favorite TF's for years, but would have been better if he was a bit bigger.
- Liger Jack. Brilliant beast mode, okish robot mold, the head is stunning but he has terrible articulation, and 'Liger convoy' Just doesn't work because it has no hand.
- Flame Convoy. Just stunning in both modes. Only complaint is the fact that his wrists can't rotate.
- Sonic Bomber. Nice figure in both modes, but stick him on Galaxy Convoy and he looks a force to be reckoned with.
Only problem is I have no room to put them.

Nice little haul today: Alternators Prowl, Cybertron Crosswise, and the second wave of Cybertron Minicons (Monocle/Scattorbrain, Ascentor/Payload, and Landslide/Kobushi). Haven't had a chance to open them up yet, but should be able to tomorrow night. Can't decide whether or not to get Alternator Skids tho, or should I wait for a Blaster version...

Edit: Crosswise has a slightly more complex transformation than I'd expected, and he's got a great level of detail. The paint apps on the Minicons is nice, especially on the Decepticon side, and tho I'm not sure about the green plastic on the Decepticon Minicons, it does lend a unifying element.

Picked up Star Wars Transformers General Grievous the other day. Odd little figure, but cool. Transformation is not complicated, but the limbs like to fall off and it's a lot trickier going from robot to vehicle than the other way around. Still, I'm impressed by the way Hasbro was able to pull off these transforming Star Wars things.

Good Galaxy Force haul: GC-18 Live Convoy, GC-19 Exigeyser, GC-20 Backgild, and GC-21 First Gunner. I love these guys! Live Convoy is one of the better helicopter TFs IMO, and the other three are armed to the freakin' teeth!! I count 78 mini-missile ports on Exigeyser; Backgild and First Gunner are nicely large with good heft.

Also picked up Cybertron Swindle (Hardtop repaint) at TRU the other day. Nice little addition to the Decepticon ranks...
