Got a buncha movie-line TFs.. more Decepticons than Autobots; the 'Cons are getting the better figs so far IMO. Anyway, picked up "Robo-Vision" Optimus Prime (voyager sized, Target exclusive.. he's got LONG smokestacks!!), voyager Ironhide, voyager Blackout (very badass, that one!), and deluxe Brawl, Wreckage, Bonecrusher, Barricade, and Scorponok. Oh, plus I have the protoform Op from a few weeks ago.

So far, I am very impressed! These TFs don't transform at all like you'd expect them to; the Robo-Vision Prime is particularly complex. They all have excellent detail and fairly decent poseability. I could do without the "Automorph" features, but eh, all things considered, it's a minor annoyance. My only real complaint so far is that Ironhide's face has no real paint apps to speak of, making it difficult to distinguish his features.

Probably going to wait on Starscream and Ratchet in hopes of repaints, and I'm planning on picking up the "upgrade" Bumblebee, but not the "old" version. Jazz doesn't do anything for me either...

What is the difference between Leader class Prime and Robo Vision Prime?

Quite a bit, actually. You can read reviews of leader-class here http://tformers.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=797 and robo-vision here http://tformers.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=798 . After looking at both of them, I decided I liked the robo-vision version better.. plus, he's half the price of the leader Op.

I bought a Leader Class Optimus Prime and 5 of those Bumblebee figures with the clear windows. I sold a bunch of 'em on Ebay (multiple item listing, no scalping) and mailed one to a friend. Leader class Prime is NICE!

If anyone wants one, drop me a PM, btw.

I'm so weak... I had to have a fix, so I broke down and bought movie Starscream, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. Other than the head, which sucks donkey parts, and a rather bland color scheme, he's actually a pretty decent fig. Missile launchers have a bit of a hair trigger, but that's not uncommon with TFs. The robot mode has a good size too, looks bigger than the voyager-class he is.

Still lovin' the movie TFs...

EDIT: After having had Starscream for a coupla days, I've realized that, while I may not dig the head design, it does fit with the overall "bestial" motif that the movie Decepticons seem to have going on with their robot modes, most noticeably Starscream and Bonecrusher. IMO the movie Autobots have a more.. not necessarily "sleek".. look, but a bit more "techno-linear" motif.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the line continues post-movie, and from there to the inevitable sequels...

Snagged a movie Concept Camaro Bumblebee and movie deluxe Arcee the other day. Bumblebee is absolutely badass! Insane detail, great articulation.. and "Automorphing" features that don't make you feel like you're gonna break the toy trying to transform it. Arcee is decent too; transforms about the same as the smaller cycle TFs (like Energon Arcee) but it's nice to see a deluxe-sized fembot. Also sports great detail and fairly intricate paint ops.

I am definitely loving the movie line so far...

I had a great haul this week.

First off, I won two BWs Razorclaws in one auction, and two Clawjaws in another. Both from the same guy and both auctions had one on card and one loose. My dad and I are gonna split them.

Next off, I got a complete MISB Optimal Optimus for $5.50(!).

Then my dad and I went to Wal-Mart after hearing that Hasbro is shipping out old stock to fill the shelves and got a Cybertron Quickmix for myself and a Classics Ramjet for my dad.

Later we went to another Wally-world and found a ton of cases of Alts, Cybs, and Classics at their old clearance prices. I got Lugnutz and the Mini-con cars while my dad got Scrapmetal, Armorhide, and Breakdown for $1.00 a pop! My dad also got Cyb. Soundwave for $10 and I got a Cyb. T-rex Megatron at regular price. They had Alts at $10 each, too, but alas, we were out of money. We went back later and the shelves looked almost as if they never stocked them(damned scalpers).

All in all, this has been the best week in my entire TF collecting career. Yay me! :D

Picked up a Target-exclusive G1 paint scheme movie Jazz today. There's a couple of spots I'm going to add paint to, but otherwise the detail and paint apps are really nice. He is a squat little bugger in robot mode, though...

Saw the G1 paint scheme Starscream too, but I couldn't pick it up. Have to put gas in the car, you know...

Scored a Target gift card recently, so I snagged me a G1 painted movie Starscream. There's a little mold degredation, but otherwise great job on the paint scheme, and the new head is a definite improvement.

Primus is a definite must-have IMO. He's a good size, very well articulated and insanely detailed, not to mentioned armed to the teeth.

I like Quickmix as well; the colors are a great homage to his G1 incarnation. Of course, there are few TFs from Galaxy Force/Cybertron that I don't like. I think it was one of the best TF lines ever.

Basically, I'd say if you can get good prices, grab 'em both!

Found a movie Dropkick at my local WalMart today, mixed in with the mass quantities of old movie TFs (for some reason, they filled the pegs with the first assortment of deluxe movie TFs, especially Scorponok and Wreckage). Anyway, Dropkick is pleasingly complex, fairly well articulated, and very well detailed. I'd love to know why the newer assortments are taking so frikkin' long to hit the pegs though...

Picked up "Rescue Ratchet" yesterday and "Thundercracker" today (both movie voyager-class). Ratchet is pretty decent, limited leg articulation but great detail and intricate transformation. He'll be getting some new paint detail soon, though.. there's a couple of spots just begging for paint.

Thundercracker has IMO the best paint job of any of the movie Seekers so far. I hope they cough up a Skywarp soon...

I got Hasbro Masterpiece Starscream at Wal-Mart last night. I never got MP-03 so I now understand why most people love this figure. He blows MP-05 away in nearly every catagory.

Also, my dad got drunk and bid an insane amount of money on figures I've been wanting, so I have BW Quickstrike, Terrorsaur, Inferno, and Cybershark and he has original Waspinator, the Fox Kids repaint, and possibly a MIB Ultra Magnus from the same seller in the mail after we pay our $130+ bill. :dead:

Plus I have a Depthcharge coming. :D

I finally gave in and picked up a leader-class movie Megatron, and I have to say it's actually not too bad. Hasbro really missed the mark on paint apps (read: little to none), but the detail is excellent, and it's got decent size and a very complex transformation. I just hope Hasbro doesn't release a repaint under the upcoming "AllSpark Power" sub-line...

Got a quite a good lot on Italian Ebay - all of the 89 'small' Pretenders, complete (except Doubleheader). Since I got all the others, I split the loot with a friend, me only keeping a 100% complete and mint Bludgeon... for around 17$ with shipping, this was a good catch. :)

If anyone knows a similar-sized toy katana I could use for Bludgeon, let me know! I've already gotten a trident for Octy and balls/chains for Stranglehold, should be nice to display ol' skullface with his trademark sword in hand.

Picked up a voyager-class movie Megatron the other day. The transformation is REALLY simple; there are Minicons with more complex transformations. But the detail level is better than the leader-class Megs, and the "ice" has kinda grown on me.

Here's my dirty little secret.

I'm selling every last bit of it. I plan on opening a bar this year and my TF collection was the first thing to go. So, even though I found my holy grail (clear God Fire Convoy), it's being sacrificed to "the fund."

I would, but it's sealed. I don't have space for a huge box like that and opening up a sealed GFC and throwing out the box would be a crime.

You want to move to Japan?

The way things are going in the US, Prof, moving to Japan is looking veeeery attractive. Plus, I live in Michigan, and it's hard to even get a job slinging burgers around here, let alone something that pays enough to support a family...

And I still say there's gotta be a way to keep that GFC :D How big is the box?
