"Jackshot" became "Overhaul" in the US toys/toon. And I envy the hell out of you, prowl4mvp, being able to live in Japan.

Got two more Scrapmetal figs today, total of three so far. I hope Hasbro releases it in the blue and yellow, like the Japanese versions; if not, I'll prolly pick up a couple more of the red ones.

Got reissue Blaster and Cybertron Soundwave and Dark Crumplezone yesterday. Soundwave is mighty cool; interestingly, the 'Laserbeak' that comes with him is listed as being a Minicon! Laserbeak is a dang cool TF in his own right.

Picked up Cybertron "Override GTS" yesterday. Joints are really tight, and the paint job is nice. The coloration makes the figure look a lot more masculine than the original. I'm still not keen on the auto-transformation feature, but I do like this mold.

I went to a local toy show yesterday morning. There were the usual dealers selling the usual stuff. There were plenty of TF dealers who knew exactly what their stuff was worth and charged accordingly. But there was one guy who simply had a table with a pile of Transformers some of the larger ones were in ziplock bags. One ratty old bag had a familiar red/black/orange mass inside of it.

"How much for the bag of Predacons?" I asked.

"It's missing a couple of swords and a few guns, so, hundred bucks?"

I inspected the bag. 2 swords were missing and 3 of the small guns. Considering that I will never have any reason to display these things in any way other than Predaking, this made very little difference to me.

"Will you take 90?"

"Meh, gotta sell something today."

I met up with a couple of my friends and my girlfriend after the purchase. Seibertron.com's Ryan wanted to know why I didn't just shell out the extra 85 dollars for the reissue. (Answer: Because it's an EXTRA 85 dollars) I'd had the thing for less than 5 minutes before two different people tried to buy the thing off me. One dude on the con floor shouted "Predaking!" as I walked past.

Fun time and now I've got Predaking sitting on my desk. woo!

He is so frickin' sweet I can't believe it. I may have to get Superion too,
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Congratulations! That's a great buy! It's one of the best Gestalts ever...

Makes me feel the more sadder, since my MISB reissue got stolen from the guy who would have sold it to me. For 80$! Well, I need Divebomb only anyway... and parts. Lots of parts. :)

Speaking of parts, I got tons of parts on the flea market this saturday - for Bruticus, Grimlock, Resuce force Jaguar and Overlord. Plus an Overlord shuttle and knockoff Springer.

Cybertron "Wing Saber" came via UPS today, preordered from BBTS. Nice jet mode, armed to the teeth; robot mode is decent too. Looks good combined with Optimus, though I prefer Op's 'super mode' to the Op/Wing Saber combo. Sucky sounds IMO.. no batteries for him!

I always thought he should be called 'Wingthing' after Soundwave's Am partner... That thing is pratcially a big Gundam robot that transform into a plane-like ... well, thing. :D

Picked up Cybertron "Shortround" (yeah, I'm gonna change his name) and "Skywarp" yesterday at my local TRU. They had "Cannonball" too; not sure if I'll get him or not. The skeleton deco.. eh, maybe.

Shortround is a decent little mold, not too crazy about the powder blue but otherwise OK. I like the paint job on Skywarp. If Skywarp ends up being a cheapo pegwarmer I might use him as a troop builder.

I'm weak, no willpower at all.. went back to TRU and bought Cannonball, as well as Cybertron "Repugnus". They did a great job on the repaint for Repugnus, and I really like that mold. Cannonball's a decent repaint too, though I'm still not sold on the skeleton decos...

Got my backordered RM-24 "Reverse Convoy" yesterday. I've always enjoyed the mold, and while the paint job is simple, the detail on the Convoy and Megatron heads is nice. Not sure why the Megatron head has a sh#t-eating grin on his face tho...

Got Nemesis Breaker at my TRU today. Haven't had a chance to combine him with Galvatron yet...

edit- While the combination doesn't look bad, Galvatron does NOT like to stand up with Nemesis Breaker attached.

Picked up Star Wars TF Emperor Palpatine yesterday. Actually, my wife bought it for me; she's cool that way. Not a bad design, but the fit-and-finish of the Palpatine TF leaves a lot to be desired. Still, one more 'Con to bolster the enemy ranks...

Got Alternators Mirage and Cybertron Unicron (deluxe-sized) today. Haven't opened Mirage yet, but Unicron is pretty sweet. Legs seem spindly but he stands well, and the skull-lookin' face is very cool. I wonder how scarce this one's gonna be...

Got my 10th Anniversary Primal and Megs from BBTS the other day; also snagged a Giant Planet Minicon Team from Target. The Primal and Megs are really sweet TFs, though I wish they were bigger. The Giant Planet minicons, well, it's nice to finally see some new minicon molds, and they're pretty decent. Gotta wonder how many times they'll be repainted tho...

Found a Titanium War Within Prime today. This is a NIIIIICE figure!! The first thing you notice is the heft; this puppy has a LOT of die-cast. The detail is awesome, and the paint app is a bit ragged, making him look like he just went head-to-head with a bunch of 'Cons and left them in itty bitty pieces. Articulation is pretty decent too, though the weight of the metal in the arms limits posing somewhat. AND, the word "DON" is sculpted into his blaster rifle, a way-cool tip of the hat to the esteemed Don Figueroa, TF artiste extraordinaire. This is one bad-ass TF!!
