Wish Swindle would come out here in Europe already, I didn't buy Hardtop because I like the colors on Swindle better.

How much does he cost?

Cybertron Swindle goes for $6.99 US; I could probably hook you up if you're interested.

Thanks, that"s a good price - Cybertron basics are around 11-13$ here. Even with postage cost, that's a bit of a robbery... :x

I'm pretty out of money right now - I wanted to sell stuff on ebay and realised I'd need a credit card to do that. Why my normal bank account isn't good for them, I'll never know...

Got GC-23 Megalo Convoy in the mail today; now I have all five Galaxy Force Convoy figures, the Japanese versions of course!! Megalo Convoy is, well, big, and kinda gangly, but he's well-detailed and oozing with Micron ports. His Micron partner is really nice, and the tiny Galaxy Convoy that comes with is nicely detailed but a pain to transform.

Took advantage of a sale at BBTS and got reissue Kup/Wheelie, Orion Pax/Dion repaint, and Masterpiece MP-B01 Brave King Exkaiser. Wheelie has a more complicated transformation than I expected, and Exkaiser is similar to Ultra Magnus in that the trailer becomes armor, in his case more like an exo-frame for the smaller robot but still very cool, lots of diecast.

The G1 Broadside I picked up on eBay came in the mail Saturday; he's the epitome of 'brick TF' but I dig him anyway. The wings are die-cast, which came as a pleasant surprise.

Also picked up Alternators Skids today. I like his transformation scheme, and he's a nice fig, but IMO the fit and finish is somewhat lacking, considering it's an Alternator. Still, decent fig.

How much was Broadside? I'm about to order a complete one for 30$, is that a good price?

I think I paid a little more than that, so yeah $30 seems decent. The one I got is in great shape, tight joints and all that.

Edit: got the G1 Sureshot (Targetmaster) I bought on eBay in the mail today; he's got a little sticker wear but joints are tight and he came with Spoilsport, his Targetmaster partner. Sureshot's one I always wanted but never got, and now he stands proudly next to Pointblank (I imagined them as kind of the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker types for their group of TFs).

Ah, eBay, the worldwide garage sale...

Picked up Cybertron "Dark Scorponok" yesterday, because a) I'd had a really crappy day, and buying TFs always makes me feel a little better, b) I had $30 to blow, and c) can always use more bad guys. Plus, I get another Force Ch.. uh, "Cyber Planet Key". And I do like the mold. Took the batteries out right after opening the package tho, man those noises suck...

Energon Tidal Wave as Broadside.. that could be cool; looking forward to seeing your repaint.

Oh, and got Beast Wars II C-2 Polar Claw yesterday. Maybe I'll find a tiny toy Coke bottle for him and he can fight Pepsi Convoy  ('cause there's a series of Coke commercials with polar bears... )

Found Cybertron "Downshift" and "Scrapmetal" yesterday. Downshift is a totally 70s mackin' pimpmobile; fairly simple transformation with great detail and articulation. Scrapmetal has a more complex transformation than I'd expect from the size. He's cool though; now to scare up a few more and start building a Scrapmetal drone army...

Why didn't Hasbro use Rumble as a name? Did they loose that one, too?

Picked up a loose Rodimus Prime today cheap, going to sell him.

Picked up a Star Wars TF 'Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator' the other day. I love the vehicle mode, transformation is simple and the figure is pretty well articulated; my only complaint is that the lightsabers aren't long enough. I have to admit to being initially wary about the Star Wars TFs, but so far I'm pretty impressed (though I won't be getting the Darth Vader one, it just looks wrong to me).

Went by Target tonight to pick up the Anakin Skywalker Star Wars TF, and found the Universe Constructicon two-packs hiding on the lower shelf! There was one of each set left, which I snagged of course. The paint apps are really nice; there seems to be a hint of mold degredation but otherwise ok. If nothing else, four more Decepticons to add to the ranks...

Got big papa Primus today, arrived via UPS from BigBadToyStore. This is one TF you MUST have, whether you get the Japanese version (like I did) or the upcoming US release. What can I say about it but ABSO-SMURFING-LUTELY BADASS?!?? Sculpting, detail, articulation, and guns guns guns!! Interesting side-note though, the Force Chip has a code inside it like the US Cybertron toys do. GO BUY THIS TF!!!

addition: After playing with Primus for a couple of days, there are some details that bear mentioning. First, each 'city' on the planet mode is different. There is Iacon, of course, oft-mentioned and pictured online, as well as six (four on top and two on the sides near the bottom) other cities, and two of what look like small cities (a couple of buildings) on the bottom. As noted above, each one of these is different from the other! There is also a patch of detail on the top, between two of the cities, that to me looks like what could be the 'Mini-con sector', divided up into a bunch of villages. The spaces designed to facilitate transformation look, in planet mode, like the deep canyons we've seen Cybertron illustrated with.

Transformation is simple, but does require the 'Omega Lock' be used four times. Articulation is very impressive; shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, and of course each finger. There is even articulation in the panels that make up his feet. Detail in both modes is simply stunning. In robot mode, the intricately sculpted detail looks like the internal workings of a machine planet, while in planet mode.. well, it looks like an alien world made of metal. There's something about Primus' head, a calm but almost regal look.

You will not be disappointed with this TF, whether you wait for the Cybertron version or decide (like me) to pony for the Japanese release. GO BUY THIS TF!!!

Picked up the latest batch of Minicons yesterday: Ramjet/Scythe, Sunstorm/Checkpoint, and Thrust/Anti-Blaze. Um, Anti-Blaze? Methinks the TF name well at Hasbro is running a little dry. Still, nice paint decos on the Minicons, although I kinda wish they didn't have Autobot or Decepticon emblems.

I still shudder when I hear Kobushi vs. Landslide... I mean, I heard about Japanese TFs with english names, but vice versa?

My trade package arrived with a pretty banged up G1 Blaster which I fixed easily, plus weapons for AM Jazz and Inferno, who are now finally complete.

I'm currently living in Japan, where I just picked up a MIB Slingshot (unapplied decals). Thrilled to find it dirt cheap.
Then at Toys R Us I bought a Soundblaster and a Hound on sale. Soundblaster has gotta be the best toy produced in years, even if it is basically just a repaint.
Also, picked up......Jackshot ?!? cuz it was only 2 bucks. I really hope its not named Jackshot in North America. Someone has gotta help them with translating, to avoid such crass innuendo.
- Prowl never got the credit he deserved -
