Best beast wars toys?

Post by Hound » Sat Oct 30, 2004 4:51 pm

I have just picked up Shadow Panther, (who i have now renamed Shadow Panties thanks to an amusing mistake by my mobile phone) and I think he is awesome.

Just curious as to everyone's personal faves are.

I also like the Dinobot mold alot.

Yeah, a lot of the TMs kick some serious bottom.
Although my personal faves would have to be Depth Charge and gorilla Primal.

Hmmm... Rampage, Tarantulas, TM2 Megs and Optimus Minor for the silliness factor.

Are Universe Depth Charge and Optimus Primal worth buying? They seem ridiculously easy to transform from the looks of them and yet are still ranked "3"

Universe Primal is a really, really nice toy. Lots of features, lots of weapons, great posability and a really nice colour scheme. However, he is quite simple to transform.

that sucks. I like some degree of challenge when I transform them. Not to the degree of Alternator/Binaltech Smokescreen (CURSE YOU!), but a little challenge is nice. I think the best example of this that I own right now is Bulkhead or Universe Skywarp.

That we own it'd have to be some of these

Transmetal Megatron
BW Metals Magazine Exclusive Silver Transmetal Megs
Pola Claw - underrated toy and makes a great Panda repaint.
Original Optimus Primal
BW Metals Ravage
The Cyberbeasts - again underrated IMO
Big Black Convoy - great toy, better colours
Big Convoy
BW II Galvatron - Could do with a better colour scheme but that's where the Lucky Draw Chrome one comes in, even if they are limited to only 2. Must .....find....... chrome toy.....

Well, Depth Charge is a little challenging, I guess. The second time I transformed him (the first being using the instuctions) I had to pause for a sec and work out what to move next. Gorilla Primal isn't challenging in the slightest. Both great toys tho, if I didn't already have them I would get the Universe ones.

Mmmm...BW toys were always excellent. Proper figures, not like the bricky toys you get now. Anyway, personal faves are:

Airrazor. Simple, elegant, weird, but cool. It always annoyed me that her show persona looked nothing like the far superior toy, which you can pose with the wings out :)
TM Cheetor is a great toy.
All the Megatrons. Value for money every time. Throw in Cryotek for kicks.
All the Primals, provided you didn't pay more than about £10 for Op Op, were also pretty good value.
Stampy and Bump and...the giraffe one.
All those that were collectively repackaged as Dinobots.
Silverbolt. The Japanese one, with the lighter colour scheme.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I thought TV Airrazor looked a lot like the Toy, except the toy didn't have blasters in her forearms like the TV one did.

What can I say, the wrath of Scarem is not something to trifle with. Get those nachos ready like... yesterday, and I think he'll be appeased.

Maybe.

For the rest of you clueless bastards, I really, really, really like TM2 Scarem. He's my favorite Transformer of all, in fact.

Other Beast-era guys I like are TM2 Spittor, almost anything Megatron, original munky and TM Primal (not a big fan of OpOp), Rattrap (pick a form, any form), Depth Charge, pretty much every Fuzor (yes, even Injector!), Razorclaw, Ramulus, Dinobot II, and... heck, there's tons of good ones out there. BM - the less I think about it, the better. There's some great Vehicons, though.

Asking for the best Beast Wars toy? Beast Wars had so many awesome toys. I like the original Optimus Primal and a few of the original line. I also feel Big Convoy was one of the best Prime/Convoy toys made. Beast Wars Neo produced a lot of cool toy also.
