There are many (MANY) former Marvel UK TF contributors going to be there. WildFur obvs, but also Sullivan, Baskerville, Kitson, Simpson, Higgins, Stringer, Abnett, Collins, Hine and other peoples.

There are obviously other things and guests and stuff, but the main purpose of my visit is getting Barry Kitson to sign my Dinobot Hunt TPB and to make EVERYBODY write their names on my Death's Head collections. Oh, and something about Stan Lee.

So yeah. Anybody else?

I'm definitely up for the October one (indeed, by coincidence I very nearly went to the one this weekend), I'm not sure if I've been to an event run by these people before (and it's been a few years since I've done anything similar so everything may have changed), but these Memorabellia/Collectormania style events tend to be a bit more impersonal than normal conventions, and if you want a lot of autographs it can cost a lot, but equally the chance to meet Budiansky (and you know, even Delbo, he was still a huge part of the comic despite my not being a particular fan) is too good a one to pass up.

The organisation was a little shoddy in places, but I think that was because they just aren't set up to handle the sheer volume of people that Stan Lee's participation attracted. The photo sessions are production line high turnover stuff, but there was plenty of time to interact with people at the signing tables.

All the film/tv guests charge for autographs (though I'm not sure how much of that money they see), but the comic artists (Stan Lee apart) did their signings for free and make their money off selling stuff they've brought with them / custom sketches. They seem to have carte blanche to decide what they're charging for and what they're not, which is nice. Lee Sullivan's still just a brilliant human being to chat with.

Got several Titan Marvel UK trades signed by the gang. Furman, Sullivan, Wildman and Baskerville were all sat next to each other. Will Simpson was off in another corner but I think he was glad for the break from being made to draw Game of Thrones characters from quick Google image searches.

Dan Abnett seemed a little disappointed that he hadn't been credited on the Prey or Time Wars trades, but seemed happy that I wanted them signed anyway.

But yeah, solid stuff. The comics guests were all in a separate building so it did feel like they were at their own, more intimate, event. And hopefully the October one will be a bit calmer without The Man's last European appearance to draw in the humanoids.

The main website has finally been updated to include some of the Transformers guests, still not everyone we should expect but it has Uncle Bob, Jose Delbo, technically Larry Hama (though when I go up to him with my copy of The Vault for him to sign I'm expecting dirty looks) and- the I don't think has been mentioned before- Guido Guidi on there.

Lee Sullivan has confirmed he'll be there both days to someone I know at another board... I don't know if that counts as citation needed.

No Furman or Roberts on the site yet, but when I spoke to Roberts [CLANG! Did you hear that name drop?] at AA it was very clear it would take some horrific disfiguring tragedy for him not to turn up for this as he'd be keen to meet Uncle Bob regardless, and he was honoured to be included with Budiansky and Furman as part of the "Trio" of main Transformers comic writers by the person organising this.

I ment Guido about five or six years ago at an AA and, though I'm very happy with the Beast Wars Megatron sketch he drew me, he clearly didn't speak English very well (the back and forth between him and his translator over what "Beast Wars Megatron" actually meant could have made a comedy skit for a lazy BBC3 show). I don't know if he read the language better than he spoke it, or if he had to run the scripts IDW gave him through a translation program, but if his spoken skills haven't improved that's someone to expect a big toothy vacant smile (but still polite and friendly) from and not much else.

Hey Dalek, I was just watching your Youtube vid (posted above) and I was wondering what phone you were using to make that video, as its such a nice, crisp picture and the sound quality is good too (assuming you're not using an external mic).

Like the Furmanism's you casually dropped in there too!

My next Action Force: The Movie video will likely be back to the tablet as the wifi on my phone is playing up for some inexplicable reason meaning I can't synch it up with the TV and see what I'm doing (the inward facing camera isn't as good so it makes no difference from using the tab). But hey, all the dirty jobs.
