OK, maybe it's just me, but it's sloooowly coming together. As compared to normal MTMTE not as good (although this ish is more MTMTE-like than the last) but as compared to other company crossovers, it's following the script to a T. Very minimal Cybertron stuff, Dead Universe is all characterization, but Raiz's art is growing on me and now with some pieces coming clearer onto the board (Megs, Nightbeat, Metroplex, although I'm not sure NP is REALLY here yet), I'm feeling a bit optimistic.

That was overall much better. The art was pretty much improved all around. Feels much more like a proper MTMTE issue. That shot of Metroplex at the end was, well, heart-breaking. A lot of emotional resonance in that last page.

Loved Brainstorm being Brainstorm. Loved the Minicon reference. Loved the Rod Pod. Loved Ultra Magnus evolving as a leader and as a character in his own right.

The stuff with Starscream is just confusing me more. Scoop apparently knows all the prophecies including one that states that the Chosen one will go from light to dark, and then gets all offended when the chosen one goes from light to dark. It's not clever writing when you try to create a "mystery" by not explaining things, but end up causing a massive headache for the reader because he can't understand why anyone is doing what they do. Speaking of which, why is Metalhawk helping Shockwave?

I hated, and I mean hated, that shot of Nova Prime coming out of Megatron. I can't quite explain it, but I had a total eye roll / whatever moment and moved on. I can't explain it logically or sans emotion, which I hope is ironic given that it was the culmination of Shockwave's personal mission to rehash old plot points.

Yeah this was definitely better - it felt more like a real issue of MTMTE. I am missing Milne though - is he off the book?

The Cybertron stuff i am almost skipping over at the moment - it's like a printing error.

The reveal that Shockers has bigger plans felt very throw away. Hmm.

The final page was great.

I did LOL at the Rodpod

The Dead Universe **** makes no sense still. All that effort to use Megatron to free Nova Prime, and Orion & Co were able to just mince in through the back door with no problems.

I might've missed something, but I don't think Nova is being teleported from the DU. Hence why Prime & co can waltz in.

Edit - I did miss something. Just saw the line in the "Previously" section about Shockers establishing contact with the DU.

I did like this a bit better than the last few. Starscream's big inkplot is kinda interesting, and it was fun to see Nova Prime come swimming right out of Megatron's chest. Mostly, though, this was fun for the usual Lost Light hijinks, ably chronicled by Roche (and the last two pages by Robert Gill were pretty good too).

Still, the art is mostly being done by fill-ins, the overarching story is a bit hackneyed... this crossover needs to change the game to get interesting.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Agree, this issue was better.

Glad to see Shockwave is using Nova Prime and Galvatron instead of truly playing the Vader to Emperor role, which made no sense at all. I just hope why he needs them makes more sense than anything else Barber has written thus far.

Of course, the best parts of the issue were the Roberts-written parts. Loved that last Metroplex page. Interested to find out what happened to him since we last saw him after he crushed Sixshot in that spotlight. Or have we seen him since then? And where is Alpha Trion, who was with him?

Scoop may be one of the most annoying characters in TF comic lore. For [composite word including 'f*ck']'s sake, shut the hell up. Hate characters who have never been seen before and show up knowing everything that nobody else does.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Agree on the cross over aspect. Because so far there has been none.

Hopefully half tg character will get drafted from mtmte to rid and vice versa.

Mix it up a bit.... Just make sure that whirl stays on the lost with team Roberts.

Seconded.

And not only that but everyone listens to them. Ugh.
