So, outside of battling, TFs must have played games, done jigsaws and hoovered their apartments. Which of them do you think would have had the hardest time in day-to-day life just through their sheer impractical body shape?
My vote goes to Starscream:
* he can't look left or right, due to those shoulders vent things
* he'd have to go sideways through all except the widest doors due to his wings.
* his null ray arm cannons stretch out beyond the length of his arms, so they must do nothing but knock **** over.
* his hip kibble must have made sitting down a mission.
Poor Screamer, normal life must have been a pain

Poor Warpath would probably never get to be the big spoon

Megatron was just swingin' in the breeze whenever he was in robot form.
Ironhide and Ratchet had...issues.
Pipes' arms were upside down.
You think G1 Starscream had it rough? How about Armada Starscream? Wings double his width and back kibble more than doubles his depth. Anything that required going through even a Cybertron sized door would have been D.O.A.

Laserbeak or Ravage. No opposable thumbs or hands. In a world of 5-10 meter tall robots they are hobbits without arms.

Bumblebee.
Change your name twice, put on a cool new mask, but you can't run away from the little scared robot in your heart.
Uh, I may be overempathizing... Carry on...

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Also Galvatron- that huge back spike thing he has would make it impossible to lie on his back and would make sitting a real bitch!

Goes for pretty much any of the Beast Wars. "I transformed to get rid of these stupid paws! I still have them?"

Is it wrong the hilarity I find in the mental image of Skorponok trying to pick up a round object, like a mug?

Scattorshot has issues sitting and laying down due to the giant space-dildo on his back

Jetfire's design means he gets sued every time somebody from Harmony Gold catches a glimpse of him.

Ultra Magnus must have a hard time whatever continuity he's in - imagine your shoulders far exceeding the height of your head (as well as blocking your peripheral vision), and having to avoid narrow doorways in case you accidentally jam the warhead of a missile into a wall. That's before you even take into account that he's frikkin' massive, and most places aren't going to be made to accommodate his size.

Re: Which G1'er would have had the most frustrating design?
I always remember this comment from Warpath's tech spec: 'Great strength, but helpless if upended'.
The guy is wearing a concrete block on his feet. I guess when Bob Budiansky wrote the bio he was poking fun at the toy's appearance.
Same would go for Seaspray. And I was going to say The Throttlebots, but at least they can zip around on their pull-back-and-go wheels.
And Springer, when I had the G1 toy.... for a guy with a name like Springer, he has no feet. Should have called him Stumpy.

Depending on how toy-accurate we're going with this, the majority of them couldn't turn their heads!
I would've said it was Huffer's arms that were upside down.Professor Smooth wrote:Pipes' arms were upside down.

Don't mock. A lot of people have that problem. [/ashamed]
