Bit nervous about 6 months of MTMTE crossing over with RID, but hopefully they can make it work.

Re: IDW Botcon coverage
This may be a dumb question but is the inclusion of Waspinator and Rattrap just a way of using two iconic characters in the IDW-verse or is it supposed to be a sign Beast Wars is in the IDW continuity?

Re: IDW Botcon coverage
i don't think they have ever "included" a continuiuy wholesale, so i'd assume it's just bringing the characters in.
Re: IDW Botcon coverage
Surely the IDW TF stuff is set firmly in the Heroes Reborn universe?

Not as of Age of Ultron.
Now they all exist in Hank Pym's pants.

Re: IDW Botcon coverage
Not sure about this.
Roberts influence on the other team ups with him and Barber have so far resulted in good issues.
Keeping it running over 6 months might be taxing. fingers crossed it cultivates RiD into something I'm more interested in, if only for 6 months.
As far as I see it, the reality, as several people have pointed out, IDW are catering for two types of TF fan, MTMTE being pitched at traditional Sci-Fi / comic readers, RiD at cartoon fans.
I would not be surprised if lots of people who buy MTMTE steer well clear of RiD (I do) and vice versa.
Makes sense to do this since the fandom seems to be split down the middle into these two camps.
Buying into that, I don't think IDW would allow the star book (MTMTE) to have it's tone shifted. Maybe IDW are looking to use this as an opportunity to gradually ramp up the expectation levels of RiD fans (who imo tolerate gash as long as it's got lots of explosions and bright colours!)?
James Raiz to possibly be doing some of the art... off the top of my head he was a bit gash wasn't he?

I didn't mind James Raiz's work so much. I still think Guido needs some more work. I look over his Deviant Art page sometimes and the man's a genius.
I don't get RiD either - it should have been a Transformers version of The Thick of It. Then, maybe I would have bought it...

It's just a bit balls.
It may even be that Barber's hamstrung having to write RiD.

Hopefully having to work out his plot twists with Roberts will help the story out.
This ReGen #0 thing is cool--haven't heard about that. A mini-anthology?

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
