Transfans in split down the middle shocker!
Albeit on whether the issue is merely good-but-flawed or spectacular ... but still!

I know these are older questions, but was it ever resolved why ex-Decepticon Ambulon worked at Delphi right under the DJD’s noses and never feared for his life?
Also, First Aid described Sonic & Boom as having a branched spark the same as Topspin & Twin Twist who were also complaining of ‘proximity pains’, and that as the pains grew more frequent it meant they were heading toward Full Synthesis. Does this mean Top Spin and Twin Twist would’ve had to have been conjoined like Rack n’ Ruin?
Are Rack n’ Ruin an example of a triple-branched spark because of their third Brother (mentioned in the Orion Pax spotlight).
Bit risky of Top Spin & Twin Twist to go to Garrus 9 so close to full synthesis, no? I guess they got away with it because Springer didn’t know. And doubly-sad because it could've been the one thing that kept Twin Twist off the front line for a while.

Because as long as Decepticons like Overlord are alive, he's low profile enough not to be worth making an example of?Auntie Slag wrote:I know these are older questions, but was it ever resolved why ex-Decepticon Ambulon worked at Delphi right under the DJD’s noses and never feared for his life?
With Sonic and Boom it was probably (If they weren't faking the symptoms) the reason they ended up becoming a combiner. It probably solves the problems as well. It also explains the Decepticon interest in Rack n'Ruin.Auntie Slag wrote:Also, First Aid described Sonic & Boom as having a branched spark the same as Topspin & Twin Twist who were also complaining of ‘proximity pains’, and that as the pains grew more frequent it meant they were heading toward Full Synthesis. Since that spotlight, I've suspected since we've heard mention of a third brother, that merging them ended up being done to save their lives when the third one died, after seeing what happened to Twin Twist and Topspin.

Fulcrum was even lower profile. All he did was not explode, and the DJD still went after him.
Not only did Ambulon defect, he's also made it his job to patch up enemies of the Decepticons. He'd be pretty high on my hitlist as a result. Maybe Pharma convinced the DJD to leave Ambulon alone so the mortality stats at Delphi wouldn't get so horribly skewed so quickly, keeping the authorities off his back for as long as possible?

It's a good point, but I imagine Roberts will craft an equally good explanation.
Wasn't one of the conditions for the deal in which Pharma supplied Tarn with transformation cogs suppose to be that the DJD left the outpost on Delphi well alone (and Ambulan with it)?
Tarn is an addict, so if he raided Delphi and bumped off Ambulan presumably that would be the end of his TF cog supply, and maybe that's something he's not prepared to sacrifice.
Also with the likes of Overlord and Drift still at large I imagine they have bigger fish to fry.
It could even be something to do with the yet-to-be-revealed mole...

See, I don't get this 'bigger fish' argument. The DJD go after Black Shadow and Fulcrum in equal measure, could you get two more polar opposites?
The DJD have this undying loyalty to Megatron's code above all else. I'd imagine Tarn would find a way to get his cogs regardless e.g. kill Ambulon and kidnap Pharma to extract the cogs of everyone they torture and kill.
You know, if anything, that may improve Tarn's efficiency as the head of the DJD and keep him in sweet, sweet cogs for a long while.
I'd go with your 'yet to be revealed' idea. There's something about Ambulon; and it ain't Ben Stiller.

The list isn't necessarily in order of severity of threat or defection, but they do seem to have an 'order' - perhaps chronological in terms of when the crimes were committed. I imagine Ambulon is (a) some way down it, and (b) a genuinely heroic character who would take the risk of getting caught. After all, he crashes a MARB into Overlord in this issue.

Dude, imagine if the DJD are actually capable of combining into a Gestalt. But can't, because one of their legs is an Autobot.

For shame, Ben.
(Can I play with the Dino-gestalt?)

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
