I enjoyed it too.

The art is weird though - whoever it is has all the layouts / positioning of characters within frames / point of views nailed to a tee, but the characters themselves are stiff and awkward. Can't decide if I like it or not.

It's Chee, who did the Bumblebee mini. I rather like it, but it's missing some of the atmosphere he had before that made the work more enjoyable.

When the hell is MTMTE #13 coming? Grumble grumble grumble...

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

I love every time I see that 'con ship design from Time Wars.

Well, I enjoyed this issue quite a bit. One of the better Spotlights, IMO, and one of Barbers better issues.

Art was clean, and despite some funky faces, thought it was well done.

But I do have a complaint about this whole "Metroplex Mystery" subplot they've been trying to weave. Seems like in some instances, Metroplex is some sort of legend that may or may not be real, and in other instances he's been seen time and time again by many of the older bots. When other bots say "Could Metroplex be real?" it's really quite ridiculous. Something of that size and that kind of significance with that kind of unique transwarp tech can't possibly be doubted to exist even if seen by but a few. Just don't understand the mystery element. It just ain't no mystery!

I always enjoy seeing Autobots defend other helpless species. I just never get tired of seeing those small guys running through Autobot protector legs while they fire back at Decepticons. Seen it time and time again, and yet, it always gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Thundercracker is certainly one of the more dynamic characters. Ever since Costa did that one thing right back in his run, he's been a favorite of mine. This issue kind of reinforces that.

So yeah, nice spotlight. Good to have them back.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

I enjoyed this for pretty much the same reasons as Yaya.

I guess my only complaint is that it doesn't really tell us anything about Thundercracker that we didn't already know. It was still a nice story though.

Yeah i agree with that - it also feels like a slightly too big a gap between this little rebellion and his next one, altho maybe there were more over the years.

I do like the way TC is essentially positioned as having no love for the Autobots but equally being horrified by some of the worst excesses of the Decepticons.

Also nice to see BB well used given the shambling dumbass he has become in RID.

He comes across nicely as presenting the perspective of the idealist, who signed up because of a true belief in the principles the Decepticons espoused, and then spent four million years watching them betrayed by an increasing influx of brutal thugs.
