Transformers Ongoing #21

Not much happens this issue, as it's primarily introductory for the new direction in Chaos, but it's definitely a step in the right direction, getting off of Earth.
As for Earth, I like the fact that Prowl, the son-of-a-bitch version birthed by Roche, appears to be the primary figure in the coming "Last Story on Earth" arc. Also like the fact that it looks like Bumblebee (and everyone else on the planet) are going to be his unwitting pawns.
Regarding the narration via Vector Prime archive files, I want the big VP to complete my next poetry assignment. Who would have thought it would have an artistic Shakesperean way of story telling? "And blasteth Megatron's fusion canon, for it carryeth a thermal poison most deadly. Nay, arise fair Prime, and kiss the naked moon. "
Well, I'll say this. It was different.
The new artist is fantastic. Love his style.
Give it a "B-". Introductory, but a decent enough read. Color me cautiously intrigued.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Where is the damn "cautiously intrigued" crayon?

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Yaya - don't you think this, plus the previous two issues, mark a serious step-up from Costa? They're almost (but not quite) well written enough to make me forget the gaping plot holes he's left himself with. A nice bit of space opera, leading up to battle preparations and reconciliations, with most characters well written enough for me to care about them.
Also, what a tease - Sunstreaker (or was it Ironhide?) demands to know why everyone thought it was a good idea to hole up on Earth for three years, and Bumblebee is about to explain when he's interrupted.

Sidekick Books - Dangerously untested collaborative literature
Jack, I do think the last few issues have been a vast improvement over the previous crap, hence my giving the last few issues an "A+", "A", and a "B-". Definitely seeing a positive trend of late. Hope it remains so. And with Roberts coming aboard, could be one hell of a springboard out of what appeared to be a bottomless quagmire of substandard work that seemed inescapable.Jack Cade wrote:Yaya - don't you think this, plus the previous two issues, mark a serious step-up from Costa? Following that positive trend, next issue's gonna be a "C", and that means it'll be the best so far.Yaya wrote:I do think the last few issues have been a vast improvement over the previous crap, hence my giving the last few issues an "A+", "A", and a "B-". Can't wait for the "U" issue.
