Transformers Dark of the Moon Prequel: Foundation

As much as I hated (literally every single thing about) Rising Storm, I loved Foundation. It digs back farther than (almost) anything we've seen before in the movie-verse. Back to the time when Optimus and Megatron, mentored by Sentinel Prime, brought peace and light to Cybertron.

And it's the story of how it all fell apart. It all fell apart in such a believably natural way. Natural in that, while taken alone, certain characters seem to be pretty far out of character, but its made to work in this story.

The story was great. The dialog was spot-on. The characters were familiar, both to long-time TF fans and those who only know the property from the Michael Bay films. The art is probably my favorite of all the movie-verse stuff. Interior and covers.

It even pulls together a lot of the more spread-out plot points of the whole movie-verse. From Primus to the Primes (and the Fallen) to the Allspark and the beginnings of the Autobot/Decepticon war. It's all here.

Definitely worth a look.

Apparently this is the same creative team that will be on the non-Rocherts ongoing?

Some more good news, yes?

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

If the lesser of the two ongoing series is by the Rising Storm guys, I think IDW's G1 line is in good hands. :)
