When T2006 was released in the UK there was a TV advert showing Galvatron riding Magnus down the motorway...
Right, does anyone remember this, or did I imagine it?

I don't remember a T2006 advert on the tv.
The only time I ever remember the comic being mentioned on the tv was an advert for #113. Probably because it had Roddy on the cover and a competition to win him.
However, saying that, it does seem likely that they'd have a tv advert tie-in for "The New Leaders" given their prominence in the comic at the time.
Good thing to, as by that time, I think, the cartoon had moved to bloody Sky!

Thats not what i was thinking off but its pretty cool!
Still, I now know im not going mad because on my Interweb travels, i found this:
http://www.toplessrobot.com/2010/06/a_t ... _never.php
Scroll down the page a bit and someone says:
"I have literally thousands of comics, maybe even tens of thousands, and it was the TV ad for Transformers' Target 2006 that kicked it all off for me. I can still remember the ad (it was pretty much just reused footage from the cartoon) and that particular storyline still stands up for me as one the best comics I own. "
I think hes wrong, the animation was bespoke for the TV advert and features Galvy riding Magnus just like the comic... I will find it!

Did they interview him? I remember them waving about issue 113 with Roddy looking badass on the cover and asking some poor band if they cared about the fate of Rodimus Prime, to which i think they mumbled some non commital response.spiderfrommars wrote:Simon Furman was interviewed on a kids show once. Get Fresh I think.

Saw this--a TV commercial for Headmasters that mentions the Marvel comic, and makes it sound a whole lot cooler than it actually was:

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
