Finally got this.
Same old crap.
Milne's art was better than i was expecting though.
Meg's entrance is so by the numbers its untrue.
The wierdest thing tho is when SS is being beaten up by brawl he says "he would never" have shot down the other bots. Now i know he is a coward and maybe he was just saying something to save his skin, but in what world is this something SS would never do?
"no, i would never shoot down my enemies, of course not"
It's almost as if Costa has absolutely no understanding of the dynamics of this conflict. What? oh.
TF Ongoing, what is it, #16? Review (SPOILERS)

Eh, I never thought I'd miss Mad Brick but at least his Starscream was, you know, treacherous. In fact, despite its flaws, I'd say the Sunstorm saga (and the rest of the DW ongoing) pisses all over this in terms of characterisation, action, plot...Best First wrote:It's almost as if Costa has absolutely no understanding of the dynamics of this conflict. I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Costa seems to do ok on GI Joe (that's just my perception from reviews I read, not from actually checking it out myself).Best First wrote:Finally got this.

Makes me wonder how much his co-writer influences the creative direction, and also how many good ideas Costa 'saves' for GI Joe over transformers.
Maybe he's spreading his talent too thinly over two big comic titles. He's plainly not a terrible writer judging from Ironhide and the odd ongoing issue, just frustratingly inconsistent (leaning more towards rubbish then good).
I wonder if IDW will *ever* actually get some writers back on Transformers that truly understand the franchise. With Furman seemingly frozen out the picture, the only ones to impress are Rocherts and Mowey.
Isn't it about time they swallowed their collective pride, acknowledge they've made dodgy appointments and give someone else a stab?
Reminds me of Football club chairmen...the bad ones...

I'm fully convinced now that G.I. Joe Cobra was all Gage. Just wait. Now that Cobra has Costa going solo, it's only a matter of time before readers start recognizing this and dropping the title.Mr_Tigg wrote:[Costa seems to do ok on GI Joe (that's just my perception from reviews I read, not from actually checking it out myself).

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.
