Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

I came to the conclusion afterward that my time would have been better spent reviewing something else.

Because seriously...

It is ****.

Could have sworn I posted a reply to this yesterday.

Anyway, the crux of my response was, nice review, but overly generous I would say.

I am willing to read HAM, sorry AHM, as a trade to see if it reads better. I remember dogging Infiltration, then reading the trade, and thinking "I was overly harsh about this". Willing to give AHM the same chance. There were three issues somewhere in there I thought were excellent.

But you know what? I'm really sick of having to do this. Especially with the ongoing. I know for a fact that the ongoing will read better as a trade. But why should that be, especially if it's an ongoing? IDW needs to understand, it's simply not fair to fans to call something an ongoing, and still write for a six-issue trade. If you call it ongoing, then it damn well better be an ongoing, not a "we'll just number things differently" strategy.

On IDW, perhaps? Try the thread. You may enjoy the joy of my two usernames.

I'm with you. Wreckers is blowing me away because I can't wait a month. Spotlight was the best of IDW's relaunch because each issue was a genuine story. I'm so tired of reading these extremely decompressed storylines that were obviously written as one big six-issue chunk and broken apart--with the script most likely half the size of what a six-issue arc would have been before the golden age of trades.

I saw that, Sprunklebeemus. Very clever. :)

Didn't see my post there either. Which can only mean that I typed a response and failed to hit "submit". I guess since it wasn't a topic of controversy, it just slipped my mind.

When it's controversial, I love hitting that "Submit" button. As in "Submit, damn you, submit to my will!" ;)

The thing i don't get is - if people are restricted to 6 issue blocks why they feel they have to streach their story idea out over 6 issues. Why not do a 2 3 issue stories. Or a 4 and a 2 etc etc? Jason Aaron seems to be taking the 5 & 1 Approach with Wolverine: Weapon X at the mo and if anything the single issues are the best.

This was one of my frustration with the lack of an ongoing from day 1 - why couldn't - say - Escalation have been 4 issues + two spotlights, plus that way you avoid all the 'what do i buy and where does it fit in' from the casual fan.
