You're not going mad.

There was a Marvel UK comic called Overkill of course. ;)

Of course. ;)

Goodgood. So long as I'm not having some complete mental breakdown or something.

Really there's only two possible explanations: Either he's remembered something wrong or the entire fandom missed something for 20 years.

It's not tricky. :)

Stop that racking. The UK comics he's on about aren't from the UK. As shown in the thread, one of Overkill's appearances is from the Japanese Headmasters manga, the rest is most probably from some Universe-related booklet that accompanies the Classics Grimlock redeco. ;)

Add to that the lazy writing, and confusion is inevitable.

I think he did have some cameos in the headmasters manga, yes. And other then that, he appeared in the third Devil's Due GI Joe Crossover, where Snake-Eyes stabbed him through the eyes. And even had some weird lines about how he plans to have a harem of femmebots after the war.

No, I'm NOT making this up. :ididit:

I never bought the Classics toy, somehow that mold will always be Grimlock to me in any colors. But I plan to repaint my Cybertron Undermine into Overkill one day. It's a Spinosaur, not a Ceratosaur, but it'd suit him IMHO.
