TF3: What will we see?

So we've done the All Spark, done the Matrix, what's next? Could Unicron be on the way? I doubt it, but I think we could see Metroplex or something like him. I have a feeling Ultra Magnus will play a large role.

More Sideswipe please.

I would say Unicron (Makes sense trilogy-wise to up the ante each time)

However given previous experience?

We'll see:

Lots of sand
Soldiers
Many, many closeups of grinding metal
Racism
Plot holes the size of Unicron
Explosions
Shaky, indistinguishable shots
Boobs

The Dinobots, Unicron and Triple Changers (other than Megatron) must be possibilities.

I'm not sure about the Dinobots.

I mean, on the one hand, obviously it'd be great to see them on screen, but on the other hand, all the alt-modes seen so far have been for entirely functional purposes, disguise, mode of transport, etc.

I'm not sure what the purpose of looking like mechanical prehistoric monsters would be.

Especially with the ability to acquire a new alt mode juslikethat.

Maybe in flashback to prehistoric times? But we've just done the whole "shared history" thing, a third encounter might be pushing it.

I'd like to see something simple and straightforward, as in just a straightforward Megatron returns to [composite word including 'f*ck'] up Earth and kill Prime. Rather than another wacky quest movie revolving around three different mcguffins.

Problem with upping the stakes each time is that it ends up being utterly ridiculous, like the Moore Bond films. Whereas compare it to the Bourne flicks, which are sublime in the sheer simplicity of the plot.

VOTE NO TO GALACTIC THREATS!

Any inclusion of Unicron is just going to sell Megs short (barely in the first, reduced to Vader-to-the-Emperor style lackey in the second... I'd prefer to see him as main villain from the offset in part III, rather than risk making him a defacto goodie as they all team up against a larger threat. Note I said risk.). And whilst it's a given that Unicron is inspired somewhat by Galactus, Rise of the Silver Surfer is still fresh in the memory and might draw unfavourable comparisons. And the last thing anybody wants is unfavourable comparisons to a film like that.

That's AHM's Swarm, not G2's Swarm, then?

As Unicron x G2's Swarm would make FFROTSS's Galactus.

Wouldn't know, as I avoided the FF films like the plague. Though I was looking forward to the SS spinoff film as I like JMS' writing. And since it was confirmed that one would include the TRADITIONAL Galactus, and it was a FFROTSS spinoff, I assumed the FF Galactus was the regular one too.

I'm willing to bet we get some kind of Tidal Wave type character. Some kind of masterforce - headmaster-ish type thing wouldnt be surprising, with Sam and co taking up that mantle.

Well, there were some hints of the original Galactus, but mostly what was seen was just a large (i.e. small gas giant-sized, Uranus, Neptune, etc.) cloud, with smoky tendrils.

TBH given what we have come to expect from these films, I anticipate the statue of liberty to tun out to be a transformer. And walk around Ghostbusters style...

Just don't do Shockwave, Bay. You have messed up enough characters already (as in, Soundwave is now a 4-eyed, metal-colored, giant starfish with tentacles that talks like Dr. Claw and poops Ravage - shaped droppings). I can live without a Shockwave that has gazillion eyes, teeth and claws.

Seriously though, the sequel will totally be about Devastator's balls.

Actually I was readin on a website with Mbay discuttion along with other crew and they were sayin that the dino bots were supposed to be in the 1st one but the idea was cut cuz the movie was already very long.

ALso, the airielbots were supposed to be in the 2nd one to fight Devastator and Tidalwave was supposed to be in the 2nd one as well.. Again, They were excluded cuz the movie was already to long.

I expect to see them an many others that were excluded to shorten the film. I'd also like to see something on the quintesauns(SP?) and would love to see a lot more gestalt teams!

I remember reading that Tidal Wave was supposed to be in the first, but never happened because the army wouldn't let Bay borrow an aircraft carrier. If it was considered for the second film and never happened, I wouldn't count on it in the third.

Not that I care or anything. It wouldn't be much more than an explosion generator.

DIdn't happen due to the length of the film. adding another character like that would have made the movie LOTR type long.. not that I would mind that, but with all the QQ we've heard from critics that would have been frowned upon..

Tidal Wave (I want him to appear as Bay Promised)
Some little bit of character development, even though we will never get alot
A fight in the rain & snow
Simon Furman writing the script
Triple Changers

Dont's

Unicron
Galvatron
Drugs & Sex jokes
Characters that people are going to racially respond too.

Also I really dont know how they are going to wrap a story round the Dinobots when there 5 to begin with, Unless they use 3 I have no problem with but how there introduction will proceed I honestly dont know.

One more thing, I really like this film to be the last of the TF films. I am more of a trilogy person and aside that I dont think a saga of TF films would do the series much justice.[/u]
