ACToys.net has the first look at Devastator.

I love it. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the screen.

Interesting.

From that pose, it looks as if he's not going to be anthropomorphic, more like a gorilla or bear, perhaps.

Also, from the looks of it, his components might not have individual robot modes, instead being some kind of 8-way Duocon. Octocon?

I believe that one of his components is the "big wheel" thing we saw in the trailer.

Oh, here's The Fallen. He's still on fire!

Devastator - is that green thing his face?

The Fallen looks like some wacky Alien spinoff. I like it.

These actually look pretty cool. :) Devastator in perticular.

Small peeve with the Fallen tho, he looks a bit too gangly. As Pat Lee as his original design was, it had an incredibly sturdy and rugged design. He looked so big and bad that it was believable that he could punch out even the likes of Shockwave with one swift blow.

He's got that ancient and alien look down tho, and it's pretty cool that they actually made the fire within him a bit less "extreme". More like something sinister is burning within him, and the mechanics are just a husk for that dark force.

The Fallen looks really cool. I never thought I would say that about a movie design.

Devastator... uh...

well devestator has construction parts, so at least there is some decent TF design ethics in there.
the fallen is another pointless design. ie it could be from just about any fantasy film. at this rate u could stuff the balron from lord of the rings in and it wouldnt make much difference.

still, as a sci-fi fantasy its not bad but it doesnt really shout TF at me.

Bless the lord that Devs actually has color!!!

Fallen....not psyched about. As much as it pains me to say it, I think I still prefer Pat Lee's concept.

Yep. Looks like something from 40K or summit.

Dev would do it for me more if he didn't have a dragon face.

Devastator looks like a gorilla with a sandworm for a face... :( Frankly the body is OK as far as movie designs go, but that huge head ruins the whole thing.

The Fallen... that things looks like a love child of an Alien, a Protoss and maybe a Bionicle. What happened to him, did he swallow a spear which is now sticking out on his sides and attached to his elbows? How will he move the arms?

Frankly these designs are so far away from what I consider transformers that I'm still calling them "Mighty Megamorphs" myself....

Just a fan-work here to show how for example, Ravage could have been done so he still resembles a cat:

When I see stuff like this, what we could have gotten, my heart aches...

Hmmm... Devastator takes an unexpected turn I see, by having identifiable alt-modes when in robot form. A nice, progressive move for thse films. Another twenty or so and we might be getting somewhere.

The Fallen = Tron Vrs. Alien: The Motion Picture

Devastator I'm not convinced by the still, but in fairness the movie designs have always looked better in the film itself where you can see them in motion.

Maybe, just maybe this will open the way for a decent universe classics devastator toy, instead these half-arsed repaints that keep arriving.

The movie toy is Fort Max sized. I both hope for and dread repaints.

Yeah, that doesn't look like a transformer. The same problem Megatron and Scorponok suffered from in the first.

Devastator surprised me. The only things that bother me about it are the stubby legs, "ribs", hunchback, and of course the head. It actually carries the "solid" look of a traditional transformer that the rest of the movie robots lack.

I wasn't that convinced about the scale of Devastator, with regards to the 'wheel' transformer from the trailer, but having looked up what an RH 400 is, I can now easily accept the 'wheel' transformer as being a component part.

No idea what the 'wheel' transformer is meant to be, but the 8th component, being totally obscured by Devastator in the above picture, is probably that.

100% sure there will be a red redeco this year

Breakaway was the name of one of the components of the Gestalt of the 13 (Transformers Collector´s Club Comics: Timelines) and of a character from the last movie (which appears in Reign of Starscream 5).

Mudflap was the name of a Cybertron character (a Decepticon) and of a movie (2007-08 ) character (a Toys R Us yellow redeco).

Jolt was a G2 decepticon, a minicon in Armada (Hot shot s partner), a minicon in Cybertron (the leader of the Recon Team) and a movie (2007-08 ) Decepticon character (Crosswise redeco)

The reports are saying that Devastator is 2 feet tall and 4 feet wide. It's priced at about 100 USD and the individual vehicles do not transform into robot modes.

I'm still pysched, because I can have Devastator and a set of individual constructicons displayed without having to buy duplicates.

I'm less psyched to learn how much TakaraTomy is going to charge for it. It's a safe bet that the cost will be around double the Hasbro price.

Sideswipe looks a godawful lot like Ironhide for some reason. I think someone snuck a Soundwave into Singapore just today at the flea market. Good to see more Autobot cars though, even if we're missing some of the major players there.

Looks like the 'wheel' transformer is Demolisher.

Funny, he doesn't seem to be one of the ones listed as being part of Devastator.

I'm loving the scale thing going on, though. Scavenger is meant to be a giant excavator the size of a small office block, while Mixmaster seems to transformer into just Devastator's head and neck!

Calling the bulldozer Rampage, as Bonecrusher had already been taken, seems an interesting choice of name, but I suppose it's better than something unimaginative like Dozer or Shunt.

But why change Hook to Hightower, I wonder.

The worst part is, while he can direct CHASE SCENES okay, Michael Bay lacks any capability to direct ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT.

Seriously. Look at every film he's ever made.

Why he got the job, when people like Spielberg, Jackson, Blomkamp, etc. are out there absolutely mystifies me....

Hell, if they really wanted to fill it wih just plain freaky, disturbing, wierd crap like we have in the general design of the TFs in this series of films, why didn't they have Gilliam or Lynch direct it? At least then the overall theme would fit the look.

Don't worry, we won't see half of these transformers in the movie, only blurry siloetthes due to Bay's trademark shakey camera... I mean they say they have over 40 transformers in the movie, only way they can pay the CGI is to show them only in motion so the skins/pixels don't look fake.

The Devastator toy is... a darn shame. Even if I don't care for the design, I expected them to do a masterpiece style toy. Instead, for 100$ we get a Gestalt whose component parts... don't even transform?!? Seriously Hasbro, fire your movie designers. In 2 months after the individual Constructicons are released, some fan will do a decent kitbash where the components transform and combine.

Rubbish. A Power Ranger toy can transform into a robot from 6 vehicles. From a Transformer toy, I expect... a LOT more. Especially at this price point.

Ah well, I'm better off saving that money on MP Grimlock anyway.

As usual, Shockwave speaks with infallible, incontrovertible, ruthless logic.
