How much do you think it would cost

to comission Furman and Senior to finish Revelations as was originally intended, as a not for profit thing just for a bunch of guys to read when they wanted?
Re: How much do you think it would cost
The legal side of it is the problem, regardless of the money. Paying someone to finish another company's story using a second company's characters opens up all kinds of legal problems. The only way it would be legal is if no-one is being paid to do it, and there-in lies the main problem... thats a lot of time to invest in something you're not being paid for.

To be honest, part of me (no doubt a very foolish part!) favours a coordinated fan operation as a way to generate Transformers fiction from hereon in (or, to take a longer term view, in the gaps between good official fiction). I really liked the concept for Mosaic, but it lacks both a guiding vision and quality control and so has become a bit of a deluge (albeit there are plenty that I've enjoyed). Unfortunately, if you're going to produce a quality brand/product you have to have no qualms about telling hard-working, friendly and enthusiastic people, "Sorry, not good enough", which isn't easy.

Anyone want to draw this Mosaic?
Prime stuck his gun in Megatron's mouth. 'Beg,' he said. 'Just beg.'" Given that he had just shot off all of Megatron's limbs, it was a pretty reasonable request.
But Megatron still said "No."
Optimus sighed. "You really should have begged." Then he blew Megatron's head off, ripped out his spark core, and crushed it under his heel.
The tens of thousands watching it on TV were shocked. This was definitely not how the trial was supposed to go."
If that fails, there's always this one.
"Bumblebee, what are you doing in there?"
"Nothing! Nothing!"
(door breaks open) "Oh Primus? Is this yours? IS THIS YOURS?" (holds up a copy of NASTY DECEPTICON ENGINES)
"I just read it to find out more about the enemy."

Most of us in Hungary grew up on Furman's comics, so we started thinking about this too... we'd be wlling to contribute to the cause as well . Sadly I know legally, this is not really possible. Same reason we will never see TWW 3 finished (damn you, Pat Lee!)...
