Release schedule?

Post by Impactor returns 2.0 » Wed Aug 13, 2008 8:36 am

So, as im upto date with all things TF comic wise I started to wonder what kind of release schedule IDW use?

Are we supposed to get 1 comic every 2 months or do they release a whole series in bulk?

Why cant I have them delivered to my door every week, i used to be able to cut this little slip out of the front of my G1 comic, and hand it to my local newsagents, then all the magic happened!

Each [mini] series operates on a 1 issue per month schedule. Or does in theory, presuming they come out when they're meant to.

The Spotlights are a bit more intermittent.

I think you can actually subscribe like that if you're in the country of publication. But because they're TEH IMPOTTS, no can do. :(

Though I get mine through Mr Bax, so I still get em through teh dooooor. Albeit about a week after they come out.

We're sort of in the middle of it. Confusion reigns due to the amalgamation of the ongoing and the Spotlights.

Current release sched for this year looks like:

August - Revs #3, AHM #2
Sep - Revs #4, AHM #3
Oct - AHM #4
Nov - AHM #5, Maximum Dinobots #1
Dec - AHM #6, Max Dino #2, Spotlight Blurr

There's Animated and the Movie stuff too, but that's it as far as "Main" continuity goes.

Looking back, I think its amazing we had a G1 comic every week - the pencils were just as good, the script was decent - u even had gi-joe or the inhumanoids in the back for an added bonus.

How did they do it! ?

Right, Rev #3 and AHM #2 are both due out this week huzzah.

November solicits have been announced. Spotlight Blurr is now due in November. Maximum Dinobots... isn't.

:-/

Though, to compensate, they're reissuing a 3D version of Spotlight Prime. Yay?
