I'm still unclear as to what Stu actually did.
Whatever it is, congrats to him. He deserves to be on the front lines, given his insane capacity to recall even the most trivial of TF facts. The Walking TF Encyclopedia, I call him.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Half a dozen pages of notes / summary / panel selections per volume, in lieu of material that's off-limits because Marvel are overly protective. How much of that's been used and what edits may have been done, dunno. The annotations for the first book include more asides about the series in general, on t' basis I was aiming for stuff that could be cut to space if needed and fewer panels were usable.
No startling revelations in there for old lags, nor screeds about Marvel or the colouring... between the two volumes, it's just a way of cheaply picking up most of the first half of the US run. I don't know whether there are plans to do the rest, though #75 did get reprinted in the Best of Furman hardcover, so there's some possibility.

No need to pick up the Titan volumes if you've got the original run, unless you want something less fragile to leaf through. The type of person who collects full sets of original issues or has thirty existing reprint volumes probably isn't the market so much...
If I managed to convey that early US stories fit into a broader picture of overseas / later material and some people get curious enough to read further and see how it slots together, mission accomplished.
