Humanoid Beast-modes?

There's really no reason why this wouldn't work, is there?
If we are to assume that in some continuities atleast, the Beast Modes are based on some of the advancements in Pretender-shells, and since it's possible to scan and construct beast-modes based on as highly evolved animals as primates and whales, then surely, there aren't any technological limitations?
And would it not be a fairly clever manor for Maximals and Predacons to infiltrate humanoid societies by simply creating an extra alternate mode that allows them to disguise themselves as the locals, aye?
I wouldn't mind seeing something like this implemented in the IDW comics actually.
What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
