Transformer RPG online - the MUSH thread!

With the movie having recently graced us, I was wondering if any of you would like to join me in the mystical magical world of Transformers online roleplaying. I've played on and off the Transformers 2k5 MUSH for around seven years, and it is one of the best (as in there's not really any "HURR" retards there).

MUSHing is an odd thing. It is like a MUD but with more letters. Using the hitech application that is a telnet browser, you can connect to an online world and travel using letters on your keyboard, talking to people as if they are in the very same room!

Okay, it may not be pretty or cutting edge, but its fun, dammit.

There's still lots of MUSHes about, but if you want a Transformers one with more than 3 people on it, you'll want to play on 2k5. It's set post (original) movie, so you don't get Optimus Prime (DON'T CRY) but you do get Wheelie (I used to play Wheelie! :v:)

Here's the official theme rundown:

The year 2005 was merely the beginning. The Death of Unicron saw the birth of Galvatron and the Unicronian Born, and now the Autobots find themselves in a more desperate war than ever. However the Decepticons are not the only threat, the Quintessons have time and time again made their presence known to both Decepticon and Autobot.

Transformers 2005 MUSH -- now set 23 years after the events of Transformers the Movie -- gives a whole new look to the Transformers universe. RP Activity is steadily growing once again, and with the recent release of the movie, there's never a better time to app. The Autobots, led by Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Elita One, struggle against the immense power of Galvatron, Cyclonus and the Decepticon army. The Junkions seem content to entertain the masses, and help the Autobots when the times become desperate. The courageous humans of Earth Defence Command struggle to adapt to new Cybertronian technology while battling both the Decepticons and the rival Protectorate organization.

How to connect
First thing's first, you'll need a client. You can use raw telnet, but it is horrible and ugly. I suggest you download MUSHclient which is nice and easy and friendly. Find it here: http://www.gammon.com.au/downloads/dlmushclient.htm

Secondly, you will need to connect. Just start a new world, with the address tf2005.net 5555

Commands
The following commands will keep you in good stead on all MUSHes.
who - who is on
+where - where people are
l name - look at someone
ic / ooc - hop In Character or Out Of Character
+gu text - talk on the guest channel
"text - say something in the room
:text - make a pose starting with your name
@emit text - Emit a pose!
+icfinger name - the In Character information on a player
+oocfinger name - guess
+bg name - The background on a character

Screw that, I wanna be a Transformer!
There are currently several levels of characters. You can apply for a feature character (type +fcavail to see a list of available ones). Alternately you can make up your OWN character (how exciting is that!) You can transform and everything, it is magical, more magical than a magic wand!

For the lazier of you, some of the lamer characters are app free. That is, if you want, you can automatically get one, but will get instantly kicked if you suck horrendously. You can be Gears or Eject or Twin Twist (Or Runabout & Runamuck, why those guys are app free beats me!) Type +afcavail to see a list of these!

That's it from me, I hope to see more people there so I can kill you all :)

1. That's one niiiiiice pic.

2. Hey, it's the http://www.redshirt.co.uk/random/alpha/ guy! I HIGHLY recommend anyone who hasn't visited his site to check it out, as it's filled with TF funniness.
