Interesting that AHM saw a 2k drop wheras Hardhead and Doubledealer were pretty much the same.

Yeah, but most disappointing is that Doubledealer barely sold 10,000 copies.

What the hell, man?

I mean, I just don't get why people are dropping out like flies.

Maybe TF fans just don't got the love anymore.

Guess six month gaps and a bad economy will do that.

Is it really true that the Marvel issues were moving 100,000 copies a month when the axe fell?

I think it was when they dipped under the 100,000 mark that they decided to call it a day.

Little did they know it never ends.

And here I thought it was during that big industry crisis in the 90s when sales hit low numbers and never quite recovered.

Dunno - other then TFs I never collected any other comics so I'm not an expert. But I'm pretty sure the wide access to comic scans is the reason less and less comics are being brought into my country - seriously, even during the Socialist regime we had more comics then today...

TF numbers for Sept 2008:

151 TRANSFORMERS ALL HAIL MEGATRON #3 13,238 copies
186 TRANSFORMERS MOVIE PREQUEL SAGA O/T ALLSPARK #3 9,283

274 TRANSFORMERS BEST O/UK TIME WARS #2 3,702 copies

Total Revenue for Sept 2008: $133,329.84

AHM is actually holding it's own. No drop from #2 to #3. Good sign, I guess.

So I guess the strategy from here on out will be one from McCarthy, one from Furman, one from the movie, one from Animated, and one from reprints.

That's because in August there were seven books, this month only four.

How would the mods not approve? WTF. That's like, Republican or something.

Maybe we should sticky this thread.

Where do these quotes come from, anyway? Is there a similar source for the trades?

I'm going to have you banned from this board for your lack of reverence to all things IDW. Bow down, you heretic!

Careful guys and gals... as highlighted recently on their boards, you need to keep it in check on all message boards, lest the make a nasty graphic of you - and you wouldn't want that.

Say what you want to about AHM, but it has remained pretty steady, even after five issues. For comparision, Spotlight Sideswipe sold 10,675 copies.

However, Devestation #6 was selling about what AHM is now.

Your second comparison is fairer... spotlights seem to sell badly. And bare in mind the amount of pimping AHM has had compared to Revelations. Suffice to say - all this crap that IDW have stirred up to reinvigorate the line, and they have achieved nothing really...

It shows something that Spotlight OP re-relased sold about half as many copies as the newest issue of AHM... 3D or not.

Here's to hoping it had something to do with bad distribution and not fan interest.
